Blac Chyna's Assistant Dies After Being Taken Off Life Support

A longtime assistant to Blac Chyna who suffered a brain hemorrhage months ago has died after a long battle in the hospital.

According to her family, Lorena “Patty” Hernandez passed away Wednesday. Just days earlier, doctors declared the woman brain dead after suffering a third brain bleed. At that point, the family made the difficult decision to disconnect Patty from life support.

As we reported, Patty suffered a brain hemorrhage back in January at Blac Chyna's Salon in Encino. She was rushed to the hospital and stabilized, but unfortunately fell into a coma afterwards.

Patty had been showing signs of improvement over the months, and had even been breathing on her own for a short time, but unfortunately her conditioned rapidly worsened and she never recovered.

We're told the family is gathering at the hospital Thursday to make preparations for Patty's organs to be donated.

Sources close to the family tell us Chyna was not very involved with Patty or the family after her hospitalization. It's unclear if the reality star has reached out or even knows if Patty died.

The family also reportedly plans on filing a wrongful death suit against Chyna for allegedly abusing the woman and not providing worker's compensation.
