Crocs are known for their comfortable and practical design, but their latest fashion statement has sparked a frenzy of online hate. 

Some people think they are a fashion crime, while others love the unique look. Still, the Classic Cowboy Boot is set to make its debut exclusively online on October 23rd.

Crocs Cowboy Boots: The New Fashion Trend That Has Got Everyone Talking

To start, these bad boys are a whopping $120.

Although the fresh arrivals boast a unique Croc Skin texture, maintaining the trademark perforations for breathability. Plus, they showcase Western-inspired embroidery, complete with the iconic brand's logo. Fans are going nuts about it online.

This new boot design features a spinning spur at the back, along with two Jibbitz charms - a golden Croc Star Jibbitz charm and a 2023 Cowboy Duke Jibbitz. Remember Crocs introduced a whimsical ogre-inspired shoe inspired by a collaboration with Shrek.

Complete with the character's distinctive nose, attached ears, and speckled green skin, each pair vividly brings the beloved character to life. Initially, the brand itself was founded by three Colorado friends: Scott Seamans, Lyndon 'Duke' Hanson, and George Boedecker.

It was noted that the discovery took place during a Caribbean sailing trip in the early 2000s when they stumbled upon a boating shoe crafted from a foam-like material called Croslite.

Apparently, the trio was astounded by the unique qualities of this footwear: lightweight, shock-absorbent, easy to clean, comfortable, long-lasting, slip-resistant, and even buoyant. Impressed, they acquired the rights to Croslite technology and set out to create what we now know as Crocs.

However, despite the fancy-looking shin-high design, the outlet reported that the American footwear giant release has sparked mixed feelings.

Fans Call The Newest Cowboy Boot Design 'Crime Against Humanity'

The controversy over the new Crocs reached new heights on Facebook under CNN's official page's announcement which read, "On Thursday, Crocs unveiled something previously unimaginable. A Crocs cowboy boot, with spurs and all." 

Critics did not hold back from airing their opinions like this Facebook user who blatantly called the design "a crime against humanity." They went on to add, "I’m a Texas man, and I take umbrage." 

A second person emphatically stated that they would "stick with my cowboy boots," before musing, "I’m just thinking hot and sweaty and feeling slimy and nobody in there right mind is going to buy these if you work on a farm!!!"

This particular critic was so shocked at the creation and could not stop themselves from exclaiming, "Wow!!!!!!! Crocs are absolutely horrific! Don’t," while a fourth was so sure that, "No one is getting these ??." 

Meanwhile, this user dramatically called it "The end of humanity as we know it ?," and a sixth simply wrote, "No, just no." 

Not Everyone Is Against The Cowboy Boot Crocs

Since Facebook is one of the many social media platforms, it was expected that on another popular networking site X, the tide turned positively for the Crocs. 

An example is this supporter who wrote, "Lowkey want a cowboy hat and Croc boots so bad," while another mentioned that they were "thinking about the Croc cowboy boots rn." 

One apparent fan excitedly suggested that since it was the month of Halloween, it was also "Croc-tober!" A fourth user was of the opinion that "@Crocs the amount of love an effort i have given you for so many years, I think i deserve the croc cowboy boots. ?."

At the same time, a fifth commenter observed that "The croc cowboy boots actually look like they’d be kinda good to ride with/ good barn shoes ?." Some outrightly expressed their need for the boots by tweeting things like, "Oh I absolutely need the croc cowboy boots," and, "Am I wild for wanting the croc cowboy boots? ?." 

Another fan also humorously stated, "Call me crazy but I want the croc cowboy boots as a meme for myself fr."
