It looks like Jimmie Allen and his estranged wife Alexis Gale are choosing to weather the storm of their marriage!
The couple appears to be leaning towards patching things up in their marriage despite separating, rumored infidelity, and filing for divorce earlier in the year. Allen, who is currently in the middle of two sexual assault lawsuits, may have more than just a reconciliation to be happy about.
Jimmie Allen And Alexis Gale Are Nowhere Near Done
The country singer appeared on Instagram this week with a message on his story, which read, "Kingdom's May crumble, But you'll remain if you down to stick it out and dont' let your dreams escape. You got a lifetime, it will be okay if you down to stick it out and don't let your dreams escape."
While there is no certainty what this post means, we know for sure that Allen and his wife are getting back on track with their marriage. This new development emerged after the birth of their son, who is now their third child together, on September 27, nearly six months after they announced their divorce.
Alexis announced the new addition in a beautiful Instagram post featuring slides of the baby wrapped in a shawl and being held by his older sibling. The proud mom accompanied the post with a simple caption that read:
"Cohen Ace James, Wednesday, Sept 27, 2023 xo."
On their ongoing divorce, PEOPLE confirmed from Allen's rep that the estranged couple have resorted to work on things and are still together. The rep further added that the separation "was never fully seen through legally," which means they're still a couple.
Allen and Alexis tied the knot in 2020 and shared two daughters, Naomi Bettie and Zara James before they announced their 3rd pregnancy and separation simultaneously in April. The pair cited irreconcilable differences in their filing, and Allen later stated that the court consolidated both filings into one case.
The shocking news of their separation dropped in the wake of a serious sexual assault allegation against Allen by his former manager in May. In the anonymous filing, his former manager disclosed that he raped her, groped her breasts, forced her erect p---- against her in public.
She continued that the "Down Home" star touched himself in front of her at a hotel and even forced his finger into her vagina in 2021. But it didn't end there as a second woman also came out to sue Allen for sexual assault publicly.
She accused him of filming their sexual acts without her consent and continued engaging in unprotected sex with her after she withdrew a previously given consent. The second victim then filed a police report with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police after the incident.
The 'Make Me Want To' Star Denied Every Sexual Assault Allegations
Allen eventually denied all of the allegations leveled against him and filed counterclaims against his accusers in July. The 38-year-old stated in the filing that he needed time to think carefully about his next step of action, hence the delayed reaction.
Six weeks after the accusation, the countersue stated that Allen had consensual sex with both women. Allen revealed in a statement that he decided to challenge the claims in court for the sake of his reputation as it has caused "severe damage" to his family, mental health and business.
Per The Blast, Allen's legal team described his former manager's claims as defamatory, including her Variety statement, which was outrageous and had no place in a civilized society.
The document also disclosed that Allen ended the affair with his former manager in the fall of 2022 to focus on settling this with his wife. In the second counterclaim, the "Best Shot" insisted that his second accuser stole his phone and alleged that she wrongfully carried out a distinct act of dominion over his personal property.
He also stated that his second accuser permitted him to record their sexual acts before they even happened. Allen suffered major losses in the wake of the allegations as his record label, Broken Bow Record Music Group, dropped him and released a statement which said:
"BBR Music Group has dissolved its relationship with Jimmie Allen. He is no longer an active artist on its roster."
His agency and publicist also followed suit as he headed out to face his accusers in court.
