Gina Kirschenheiter has clapped back at Andy Cohen following his comment insinuating that she has the cheapest house among the cast members of "Real Housewives of Orange County." The 39-year-old took issue with the comment, describing it as "unkind," and pointed out that two of her castmates don't even own their own homes.

Fans Applaud Gina Kirschenheiter For Standing Up For Herself After Andy Cohen Took A Dig At Her

During a recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live," Shady Whale had asked Heather Dubrow which fellow "RHOC" castmate would receive the least amount of money from the sale of their home.

Although Heather declined to answer the question, deeming it "mean," Andy suggested that the answer was "probably Gina" because she owns a "casita." In response, Gina posted a video that opened with the "WWHL" interaction, asserting that she's one of four Housewives who are also homeowners. In her words:

"Okay Andy, here's what I have to say about that. There are six cast members in this franchise and four of them are homeowners. Not six. I am one of them."

The reality television star then claimed to be the "only cast member" to own her home without a husband and mentioned that she is "10 to 20 years younger" than her co-stars. Expressing her displeasure with Andy's comments further, she asked the host not to paint the picture that she's "dragging behind the herd" because she's not.

"That's unkind, Mr. Cohen," the New York native concluded in the clip posted on Instagram and captioned "Proud homeowner." Within hours, fans had gathered in the post's comments section, sharing their thoughts on how Gina handled the situation.

While one penned, "Yeah, that was pretty mean spirited. Love that you stood up for yourself," another applauded, "I love how direct you were in this video without throwing shade. You just told him the facts-straight up, polite-Kind even! and named how it made you feel. Class act."

"Wtf? You bought that home ALL BY YOURSELF!! Love you and proud of you and the work you put in every single day!," a third fan gushed. A fourth cybernaut chimed, "That is why you are the most genuine on the show," and a fifth exclaimed, "Gina over here spitting facts, no cap!"

At the same time, a sixth Instagram user expressed their disappointment with Andy's remarks. They wrote, "That is some serious BS!! First of all, owning a home is a BIG deal- no matter what it's worth!! How dare he come at you like that. So uncalled for and just tacky. Andy really made this an unnecessary part of the show and shows his true colors there."

Similarly, another observer noted, "not Andy making a damn cartoon ask the question so he won't get flack," and an eighth declared, "I'm starting to see Andy in a new light. He is messier than all the housewives!!" while someone else drove home the point when they wrote, "This is the stuff Bethenny is talking about.. like it or not."

Besides fans showing support for Gina, the interaction also confirmed "Real Housewives of New York" alum, Bethenny Frankel's claim that Andy "puts guests on his show in positions to answer questions that reinforce his own opinions."

The 'RHOC' Star Suffered Physical Abuse In Her Former Marriage

Before getting to the point where she could afford her own home, Gina had lived through an abusive marriage to her now ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter. The situation escalated into violence, which resulted in the arrest and conviction of the financial planner.

In case you missed it, Matt had pled guilty to felony corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant and felony false imprisonment affected by violence, menace, fraud, or deceit in 2021.

According to court records obtained by The Blast, the 39-year-old was sentenced to three years of formal probation, 180 days in county jail, a batterers' treatment program, eight hours of community service, and he must pay restitution.

Matt's legal troubles stemmed from his arrest in June 2019 on suspicion of domestic violence in relation to an incident involving Gina. He was formally charged in September of the same year.

Even though he initially pleaded not guilty, he was ultimately convicted of the alleged crimes, with Gina requesting an emergency domestic violence restraining order against him in June 2019. She had alleged that Matt had choked and hit her during a heated argument in their home.

The mother of three mentioned in her filing that she needed to "protect" herself and their children while indicating that she and Matt had tried — and failed — to reconcile in an effort to keep their family together
