Donald Trump Hit With Gag Order After ANOTHER Snide Comment

A judge issued a gag order preventing public remarks about his staff members after Donald Trump called out his top law clerk and New York Attorney General Letitia James during the second day of the ongoing trial against him and his company.

In the trial, James has accused the politician, two of his adult sons, the Trump Organization, and top executives of fraudulently overvaluing their real estate properties, with Trump indicating that he intends to testify.

Trump got on Judge Arthur Engoron's bad side after he put out a disparaging statement about the legal parties involved in his ongoing civil fraud trial through his Truth Social platform on Tuesday. The post contained derogatory remarks about the clerk, Allison Greenfield, accompanied by a photo of her posing with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. 

In the post, the businessman referred to the clerk as "Schumer's girlfriend" and alleged that she was "running this case against me." He had also exclaimed, "How disgraceful! This case should be dismissed immediately!!" in the update.

The 77-year-old mentioned Schumer and the clerk again during a break in the proceedings later the same day, claiming that the trial was "rigged" and "fraudulent." The post was removed during a lunch break after a closed-door meeting between the parties involved in the trial, held in the same room where Trump is being tried.

Following the break, Engoron addressed the situation without explicitly naming Trump or Greenfield, referring to the former U.S. president solely as a defendant. He said:

"Personal attacks on members of my court staff are unacceptable, inappropriate and I will not tolerate them under any circumstances."

Justice Engoron clarified that his statement should be regarded as a "gag order" prohibiting any posts, emails, or public remarks about members of his staff. He further emphasized that severe sanctions would be imposed if this order were violated.

While he didn't provide specific details, legal experts have suggested that in the event that the media personality disregards the order, the judge could impose fines on him, potentially up to $1,000. Although the likelihood of this is considerably low, the judge could also consider holding him in jail for a maximum of 30 days.

This will not be the first time that the Trump Organization founder's social media posts have become a contentious issue in a case against him. Per The New York Times, federal prosecutors, who have accused the father of five of attempting to overturn the 2020 election, have requested a gag order due to his threatening online comments.

In a separate criminal case in Manhattan, relating to a 2016 hush money payment to a porn star, the judge has already limited Trump's ability to post about certain evidence.

Prior to him getting hit with the gag order, "The Apprentice" alum's former chief of staff, John Kelly had confirmed the allegations that he belittled the efforts of veterans during a private conversation in 2020. To make this point, Kelly issued a lengthy statement that began:

"A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all 'suckers' because 'there is nothing in it for them.' A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because 'it doesn't look good for me.'"

Continuing, the 73-year-old declared that Trump "demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family — for all Gold Star families — on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America's defense are 'losers' and wouldn't visit their graves in France."

Kelly's criticism of the politician went beyond the reported comments, as he strongly called out his former boss for what he viewed as dishonesty on a range of issues. This includes the University of Pennsylvania graduate's positions on topics such as abortion, minorities, women's rights, Jews, evangelical Christians, and working individuals.

The former political advisor later called Trump an admirer of "autocrats and murderous dictators," and an individual who only feels "contempt" for "our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law." Finishing his passionate statement, Kelly penned, "There is nothing more that can be said. God help us."
