With wife and fellow actor Chloe Bridges by his side, the couple is eagerly anticipating the arrival of their bundle of joy. While known for his rib-tickling humor and often audacious jokes, the comedy maestro reveals a hope that his first child will not be using his 'dirty jokes' as ammunition in future family squabbles.

Expecting Dad Adam DeVine Dedicates Life To Parenthood

The 39-year-old joyfully revealed on Monday that he and Bridges were expecting their first child via a humorous Instagram photo where they stood back-to-back with hands gently resting on their proudly displayed bellies.

In the second slide, the soon-to-be father tenderly embraced Bridges, gently caressing her baby bump as she leaned back into his arms. Alongside the heartwarming snaps, the "Workaholics" star enthusiastically wrote:

"Look we're pregnant! Well, I'm just fat now but Chloe is all preggo with a human baby! Obviously, very exciting stuff!"

The highlight of the post came in the following lines. While some celebrities do not mind their children knowing what they do for work, Devine's next words in the caption captured his anxiety over his unborn child discovering his extensive list of films.

Contrary to his on-stage persona, the screenwriter expressed his commitment to ensuring it did not happen by prioritizing his role as a parent. He declared:

"This will mostly be a baby page now, as I will be dedicating my life to my child in hopes he doesn't use my decades of recorded dirty jokes against me."

Meeting in 2014 on the set of "The Final Girls," the "Pitch Perfect" star and "The Carrie Diaries" actress quickly became one of the industry's most endearing pairs. Their love journey began in 2015, culminating in a heartwarming wedding in 2021, initially delayed by the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The lovebirds exchanged vows in a vibrant Mexican celebration reportedly filled with tacos, tequila, heartfelt speeches, and even a few tears from the groom. Choosing to savor the precious moments privately for a few months, they did not show anything to their fans till December.

Evident from their heartwarming Instagram posts dedicated to each other, Devine's affection for his wife is so palpable that he has playfully mused about hunting her even after he is gone.

Another aspect that solidifies their compatibility is their outings in Los Angeles, especially their joint appearances at basketball games, which serve as a backdrop for showcasing their lively dance routines. With a blend of dark humor and impressive dance moves, Devine and Bridges make quite the dynamic duo.

Devine's dedication to the "Pretty Little Liars" star is so great that even though he once found the similarities between his name and Levine hilarious, his perspective shifted in the wake of the older entertainer's marital troubles.

In February, The Blast reported that during an interview on Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the "Modern Family" actor candidly discussed the mix-up with the singer in 2022.

The "Pitch Perfect 2" star explained why he did not do anything about it at first, "I would never—I'm not big in inserting myself into someone else's drama. I'm like, 'this guy is already going through it.' And so, I was steering clear."

However, he found himself compelled to step in when an unnamed news source mistakenly identified him as the "One More Night" singer in a headline. This confusion led to an onslaught of unwarranted backlash from Maroon 5 fans.

He recounted, "I was getting so many people that were just DMing me being like, 'How f****** dare you?'" This prompted him to take the time to investigate some of these social media accounts to grasp the situation.

Unfortunately, he discovered that the pages coming at him were not his fans, and it was a case of mistaken identity. So, Devine turned to Instagram, posting an endearing picture with Bridges.

His caption, though brief, conveyed a powerful message, "Just want to post this and say that my wife @chloebridges and I are doing great and going strong." In true fashion, he could not resist taking a hilarious jab at the situation by adding, "I am not Adam Levine. He's a different guy and a worse singer. We are, however, naming our future baby Sumner."
