Despite divorce rumors, Todd and Julie Chrisley have no plans to end their marriage. The couple's lawyer debunked the speculations in a statement, explaining that the distance has strengthened their feelings. 

On January 17, Todd and Julie reported to their prisons in Florida and Kentucky to serve their sentences. The couple was convicted of tax fraud and sentenced to twelve and seven years imprisonment, respectively.

Todd and Julie's lawyer, Surgent, debunked rumors of their divorce through a statement to Radar Online. He revealed that the couple's romance has grown stronger since they began their prison sentences in January. 

Todd and Julie were convicted of several tax fraud-related charges and sentenced to serve twelve and seven years in Florida and Kentucky prisons, respectively.

In Surgent's statement, he insisted that the divorce speculations of the "Chrisley Knows Best" stars were fake. He said, "I can assure you that in no way are Todd and Julie moving toward divorce. In fact, I can confirm that Julie is more in love with Todd today than ever." The couple communicate from prison as frequently as possible and try to keep the bond intact despite the distance between their locations.

Julie Chrisley Is Worried About Her Husband's Safety

Julie is very worried about Todd's well-being as an inmate. She revealed through Surgent that she tries to check up on his health whenever she gets the chance to call. The 50-year-old wishes she could see her husband and be there for him while accepting their current situation.

Surgent explained, "Julie desperately misses Todd. She makes statements like she wishes she could just be there to make sure he is eating or wishes she could just check on him and make sure he is okay." He noted something similar about Todd and explained that he doesn't feel the slightest bit withdrawn from his wife.

"In the same regard, Todd is madly in love with Julie," Surgent said. According to the lawyer, Todd also worries about Julie's health as the duo have now spent nine months apart from each other. "His first questions on each call are about her and her well-being," he added.

Surgent's revelation comes after an outlet circulated news that Julie planned to hit a counsel to separate from Todd legally. In response to the speculation, Savannah called out the outlet on her Instagram stories and debunked the claim.

She said, "I was notified that the National Enquirer was going to be running a story on or about Julie Chrisley hiring counsel to file for divorce. That is a lie and the only reason I'm speaking about the National Enquirer is because, frankly, you should be held accountable for all of your lies."

The 27-year-old noted that her mother had no plans to hire a divorce counsel and was still happy with her marriage.

"If she did, it would have gone through me," Savannah added. The TV personality noted how disappointed she was that people wished her parents would split up despite their struggle. She said, "It's just unfortunate that we live in a world that wants to tear families apart and wants to spew hate and lies. And it's just absolutely insane."

Savannah is currently going through a difficult phase of her life after losing her former fiancé, Nic Kerdiles, to a bike accident on September 23. Hearing the tragic news, Savannah's parents were "heartbroken" and paid tribute through their lawyer. Surgent noted, "Nic was a treasured friend of the entire. Almost like a member of the family. Adored and loved completely by both Todd and Julie and, of course, Savannah. They will miss him forever because he was irreplaceable."

The couple's lawyer backed up his claims that they weren't getting a divorce by noting that they'd been through a lot together. He explained that the duo was now codependent on each other and wouldn't stand to be split up. Referencing their battles with the tax fraud-related charges, Surgent noted that the bad news drew them closer.

He said, "Tragedy and pain, suffering and hardship, have a way of binding people together in ways that triumph and victory are unable to achieve." The lawyer added, "There is something about experiencing painful and difficult times together that just has a way of forging a bond that is unbreakable."
