Love knows no bounds, but for Nicole Scherzinger, it seems to span continents!
The talented singer is planning the wedding of her dreams, and it sounds like it will be an epic intercontinental affair. Despite what seems to be unending drama with the former members of the popular girl group "The Pussycat Dolls," the star is looking forward to married life after getting engaged to Thom Evans in June 2023.
Nicole Scherzinger Opens Up About 'Intercontinental' Wedding Plans
After sharing the exciting news of her engagement to the former rugby player following a romantic trip to Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, the 45-year-old recently revealed that they would be having not one but two ceremonies!
The dancer disclosed that the wedding would be held in Hawaii, officiated by her grandfather, and then the reception would be in Europe. In her words, "The reception will be somewhere in Europe. Beyond that, I haven't even thought about anything."
As to why the former "Pussycat Dolls" member does not seem as detail-obsessed as many brides-to-be, Scherzinger explained during the interview with The Times that her current priority is her latest project.
In case you missed it, the "Don't Hold Your Breath" singer is taking on the role of Norma Desmond in a new musical production of Sunset Boulevard. In response to their questions, the "Right There" artist noted that she says:
"Yo, I gotta find Norma Desmond. Until I find her, and I open this show, and I am proud of it, I'm not thinking of anything else."
The TV personality also pointed out that while their married life will have a foothold in Britain, "We travel a lot, and I like that." Fans will recall that after crossing paths on the "X Factor: Celebrity" in 2019, their love story was confirmed in January 2020.
Now, fast forward three years and six months, The Blast reported that Scherzinger proudly announced her engagement to the Scottish athlete with a set of enchanting photos.
In a two-slide Instagram post, one image captured her beau on a bent knee while she beamed joyfully, covering her face with both hands. The 2019 Australia's Got Talent judge donned an elegant, flowing blue-patterned dress and a cream beach hat for the occasion. At the same time, Evans matched his sweetheart by opting for a blue shirt paired with cream shorts.
The second slide saw the couple in a tender embrace, their eyes locked in a gaze of deep affection. Over a million Instagram followers celebrated their journey towards marriage, showering the images with likes and comments.
One fan exclaimed, "Finally xxx, I've been waiting a long time – so happy for the both of you; you deserve to be together FOREVER; you are a perfect match, made in heaven with love xxxxxxxxxx."
A second fan cheered, "Cheeeeehuuuuuuuu. Congratulations. – all my aloha," while a third chimed, "Congrats! You deserve it! The "Moana" voice actress took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, revisiting her time with one of the most influential girl groups in pop history. After leaving an indelible mark on the industry from 2003 to 2010, they reunited a decade later for a chart-topping single before bidding farewell in 2021.
As Scherzinger expressed her pride in being the vocal force behind most of the group's musical endeavors, she stated, "I always used to be made to feel like . . . I don't know, not ashamed, but . . . I'm very proud that the albums are my music. I put the work in after all these years, and that's OK that I have the credit because everybody has their own strengths. And this is what I bring to the table."
She mentioned that the tracks soared to #1 on global pop charts, emphasizing her affection for her ex-group members and sincere wishes for their success. The Pussycat Dolls started as a burlesque act until choreographer Robin Antin secured a record deal and enlisted Scherzinger as the lead vocalist.
Showering the group with praise, the "Dirty Dancing" actress clarified, "Our group was never set up like the Spice Girls. Our group was set up where I would be the quarterback, and I would lead us. The girls are extremely strong, talented dancers, and I had to work hard to be able to stand next to them."
