Tech billionaire Mark Zuckerbergtook a beating in his recent sparring match as he shared a photo of his busted face to social media.
The CEO of Facebook has been taking his recent hobby more seriously despite the fight with Elon Musk being called off.
The Aftermath Of Mark Zuckerberg's Recent Sparring Match
Mark Zuckerberg recently spoke out about the sport, admitting that "Getting hit in the face doesn’t hurt that much. It just does brain damage.” Well, it looks like he may be going against his word as he just shared the above photo to Instagram, showing some bumps and bruises following his recent sparring match.
"Sparring got a little out of hand. May need to update my avatar 🤣," the Facebook CEO captioned the photo.
Fans can see Zuckerberg has a cut on the right side of his nose as well as two bruises under his eyes -- hardly anything compared to what some of these MMA and UFC fighters endure during fight nights.
It seems as though some of his followers could not take the photo seriously as they commented things such as "Damn! Sorry, man. This picture is about to become a meme on the internet, though" and "Talk about having an eye opening experience".
Another hilariously wrote, "Those meta punches hurt in real life 😂" while many others just commented the laughing face emoji.
Fans Show Support For Mark Zuckerberg Following Sparring Aftermath
Others, however, rallied around Zuckerberg, showing support for the CEO of Facebook. "Is the other guy okay tho don’t hurt em 🔥," one fan wrote as another chimed in, "Damn you got beat the f--- up man. God damn. I still love you though 😊."
A third commented, "Earning stripes 💪🔥" as another expressed, "How does the other guy look Mark? "
Is Mark Zuckerberg Still Fighting Elon Musk?
The much-anticipated fight between the CEOs of Meta and X might not be happening as Zuckerberg recently took his social media platform, Threads, to share that Musk is not taking it seriously. “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious, and it’s time to move on," he wrote before adding, "I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”
He then stated that if the 52-year-old CEO of X gets more serious about the event that “he knows how to reach me.”
"Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” he added.
Zuckerberg first picked up training in jiu-jitsu during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020. Now, the CEO of Facebook trains in jiu-jitsu and MMA three to four times a week.
When speaking on fighting, Zuckerberg told Forbes, “When you go into a competition, you’re not fighting another person, you’re fighting yourself, right? You’re just trying to be a better version of yourself.”
"The thing that determines your destiny isn’t a competitor. It’s how you execute,” he added.
