After Monday's dancing video went viral on Instagram, the "Toxic" singer took to Instagram on Thursday to share another look at her dancing with her knives. She insisted that they were fake and even named the store where her team allegedly bought them from.
"I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives," she wrote in the caption. "No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks 💅🏼💅🏼💅🏼!"
On Sunday night, TMZ reported that Britney’s shout-out actually helped save the struggling store, which has experienced a dip in sales ever since the WGA writer’s strike and the SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike hit the entertainment industry hard. The manager of the store told TMZ that online traffic and calls to the shop have doubled since Thursday.
The manager also revealed that rental sales for their props, including their knives, have almost doubled since Britney’s video went viral. It seems that everyone wants to know if Britney really got her fake knives from the store, and it seems that she did.

Last Monday, the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer revealed that she was dancing with fake knives in preparation for Halloween.
“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon 🙈🙈🙈 !!!” she wrote in the caption.
However, some fans didn't believe that the knives were fake, especially given the "clink" that they make that sends her dogs running away. Fans also had more reason to be suspicious when she posted another video sporting bruises and various injuries.

On Tuesday night, she followed it up with an Instagram post that featured her dancing barefoot in her living room without any knives. However, when fans swipe to the next slide in her carousel, they can see her dancing with a bandage around her arm, a scratch on her leg, and a bruise on her lower back.
“My ‘Pretty Woman’ top … kinda cool after my briefing on polka dots 😉😉🙄🙄🙈🙈🤓🤓 !!!! Swipe to see both !!!” Britney wrote in the caption, making no mention of her various injuries. The lack of bruises or cuts in her later videos has led many fans to assume that she might have been trolling.

Likely concerned by the bruises, fans started to call the police to perform a welfare check on the pop star. They showed up at her residence on Wednesday night and were able to determine that the “Overprotected” singer was okay. Even still, it seemed that the encounter didn’t go down so well for Britney, who took a moment to call them out on Saturday night.
“Is it a joke in the news again with wellness checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right ???" she wrote in the caption. "The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4-minute performances with them."
She noted that she is getting an apology before going on to say, "I’ve been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH! Don’t talk about it, come on, let’s DO !!! As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her own daughter as if I’m in the wrong…nope it’s an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It’s about power for cops."
