Former WWE star Matt Riddle caused a scene at JFK Airport after having too many drinks after a flight delay.
The incident was caught on video and is now making its rounds on the internet.
Matt Riddle Gets Drunk In Airport
The ex-WWE star had too many drinks following his flight delay at JFK Airport -- and the video is now coming out.
Riddle was at JFK Airport on September 9, waiting for his flight to Orlando, Florida. His flight got delayed and so he decided to kill time by having some drinks, however, it seemed he had a few too many as he then caused a scene as he grabbed a microphone and began shouting at fellow passengers.
A witness is also now speaking out, telling TMZ Sports that their flight to Orlando was postponed multiple times, and so Riddle and his friend went to a nearby restaurant where they had a few too many drinks as Riddle became "incredibly obnoxious".
When it was almost time to board, the former WWE star began walking around, yelling and asking when the plane would take off. He then walked up to the gate's front desk and grabbed the microphone. He also asked fellow passengers if they were capable of flying the plane.
Passengers were eventually able to board the plane, but Riddle was not. The video of the incident was shared with TMZ Sports.
Matt Riddle Accuses Police Officer Of Sexual Assault
This incident occurred the same day that Matt Riddle accused a Port Authority police officer of sexual assault, leading to an investigation.
Earlier this month, the former WWE star posted a photo of a Port Authority police officer at JFK airport, accusing him of touching him inappropriately.
The incident comes just one year after the two-time Raw Tag Team Champion went to rehab.
Matt Riddle Is Sent To Rehab
Last year, Matt Riddle was sent to rehab after he failed his second drug test before SummerSlam.
“Sources have told me that the reason for pushing back the match was because Matt Riddle failed a drug test leading up to SummerSlam, this was also the last test under Vince McMahon’s regime,” wrote Cassidy Haynes reported at the time.
Haynes continued, “With Vince no longer in charge, a ‘new creative direction’ was taken regarding Riddle, and his big match against Rollins was postponed until Clash at the Castle. Additionally, I was told that the company informed Riddle at the time that another failed drug test would result in a ‘rehab or fired’ situation similar to what happened with Jeff Hardy previously.”
“I was able to confirm that the reason that WWE wrote Riddle of TV is because he has failed another drug test and will be sent to rehab," Haynes added. "The belief going around is that he has already entered treatment, or will be going in soon as most programs run for 30 days and he would need to be finished in time for his return in six weeks.”
Riddle was released from rehab following his six weeks. Shortly after he received his blackbelt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu while training under fellow martial artist Daniel Gracie.
