Miley Cyrus filed a restraining order against an obsessed fan, who she believes is "violent" and showed up at her home.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the "Flowers" singer claims a man showed up at her Los Angeles home and attempted to open the front gate. Luckily, security intercepted him and he was told to leave the premises.
Miley's security called the Los Angeles Police Department, who arrived on the scene to confront the obsessed fan. Unfortunately, the person was not arrested because he didn't make the entrance to the property.
The singer's team says the same person is harassing Cyrus and sending letters and messages to her that are violent and sexual in nature.
Miley Cyrus Describes Scary Incident With Obsessed Fan
After the incident, Miley's security team ran a background check on the same individual revealing a long and violent criminal history. Among the charges, he was accused of carjacking, arson, and burglary. Shockingly, the man was recently released from San Quintin California State Prison.
During his incarnation, the person continued to write letters to Miley Cyrus and referenced suicidal intentions if the singer didn't respond to his messages.
Obviously, Miley's team believes, "the pattern of behavior demonstrates a mentally disturbed individual who has a dangerous fixation and/or obsession with Ms. Cyrus."
The restraining order asks for protection for Miley's "live-in" boyfriend, Maxx Morando, and her mother Tish Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus Shocks Fans With Brunette Look
Cyrus gave her fans a massive shock after debuting a fully brunette look on Instagram, reminiscent of her days as a Disney star.
She unveiled the look while praising designer Sabato De Sarno on his debut Gucci collection. She posted a photo carousel, wearing a stunning black coat and holding a Gucci Horsebit Chain Bag.
The "Used To Be Young" singer praised De Sarno's debut show as Gucci's creative director. She wrote: "@sabatods Congratulations on your beautiful debut show as creative director @Gucci. Your stunning heart was shown in every stitch. I love you & am so proud."
"Now give me everything," Miley added while jokingly asking for all the bags in the collection.
Miley Cyrus Recalls Malibu Home That Burned Down
Following the release of her deeply personal song, "Used To Be Young," Cyrus began a TikTok series, where she spoke candidly about her childhood and music career since her days as a Disney child star.
She also talked about her Malibu home and its tragic loss during the California wildfires in 2018. According to her, the house was where she began her songwriting career as a solo artist.
Cyrus said, "The 'Meet Miley Cyrus' record was really where I started writing my own songs as a solo artist." She continued, "I was working with a producer in Malibu that lived in a house in Ramirez Canyon, which I would've never known 15 years later I would be living in that house, which would eventually burn down."
She emphasized the impact of the house on her, saying, "That house had so much magic to it. It ended up really changing my life."
In the aftermath of the Malibu home burning down, Miley got candid about the process of rebuilding her life. She opened up about this with Vanity Fair in 2019, stating, "I'll never be happy that all those memories and pictures and things that I've loved are gone. But to have an experience like this—I find myself feeling more connected to being human again."
Her Malibu Home Burned Down While She Filmed 'Black Mirror'
Still on her TikTok series, "Used to Be Young," Cyrus spoke about her experience while in South Africa on the set of "Black Mirror." The show's filming happened at the same time her Malibu home was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire that burned through the state of California.
"I was filming 'Black Mirror,' and while I was there, the fires happened in Malibu. I was in South Africa, but [the episode] was taking place in Malibu, so it was just a real trip. Two or three years later, after this happened, I didn't understand, but I had this anxiety attack with a vision attached where I was strapped down to a gurney."
Cyrus realized years later that the anxiety attacks were connected to the scene she shot for "Black Mirror" during the fires. In the scene, her character, Ashley O, gets strapped to a medical bed while experiencing a panic attack.
She continued, "I would have these dreams any time I would go to perform, and I thought that was just an anxious vision that made no sense. But actually, as my house was burning, I was strapped to a gurney with my hands locked in handcuffs strapped to a bed [filming 'Black Mirror']."
On her TikTok, she showed a clip from the scene and said, "Found out that my house had burned to the ground, this was the next day. The show must go on."
