Lil Wayne Denies Committing Hate Crime Against White Security Guard

Lil Wayne believes he did not commit a hate crime against a white security guard and denies punching the man in the face and is demanding the lawsuit over the alleged incident be dismissed.

Andrew Nunemacher, a nightclub bouncer/guard, sued Wayne last year accusing the rapper of a hate crime. Nunemacher said he was working the front door at Hyde nightclub in June 2016, when Lil Wayne and his team showed up to a BET Music Awards after-party.

Nunemacher claimed Wayne punched him with a closed fist and then threw a glass filled with alcohol in the man’s face and shouted, “F*** you white boy!” Nunemacher believes that made the incident a hate crime, saying the battery was caused at least a little by Nunemacher’s “Caucasian ancestry and descent.”

Nunemacher sued Wayne, his record label and the nightclub for unspecified damages for assault and battery. He is also seeking a $25,000 civil penalty to be added to the damages for the alleged hate crime.

According to new court documents obtained by The Blast, Wayne is denying he committed a hate crime and says he never assaulted the guard.

The rapper says the guard voluntarily assumed the potential risks and claims he acted in a "careful" and "reasonable" manner.

Wayne argues that any alleged injuries Nunemacher suffered were due to self-defense. He claims any damages suffered were caused by Nunemacher's own negligence and carelessness.

He is demanding the entire lawsuit be dismissed.
