Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Receives Support From Fans: 'His Condition Has No Cure'

Bruce Willis' wife, Emma Hemming Willis, recently shared a video giving fans an insight into her husband's health and battle with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
Taking to Instagram, Emma shared a video to help spread awareness of the condition while making the heartbreaking admission that it is incurable.
Bruce's condition was first revealed in 2022 via a statement by members of the Willis family, shared on social media, stating that the actor was retiring due to an Aphasia diagnosis. It was later revealed that his condition had "progressed," and he was suffering specifically from FTD.

Hollywood star Bruce Willis' wife, Emma, recently shared a video on Instagram to commemorate World FTD Awareness Week and disseminate vital information about the condition.
In the video clip, she wrote, "FTD is short for frontotemporal dementia or degeneration. FTD effects the front and temporal lobes of the brain. Today there is no cure or single treatment for this disease."
The 45-year-old then explained that "this is one of many reasons it's vital to raise awareness," adding, "Let's #endFTD together."
In her caption for the post, Emma noted that she hopes people will "learn and take something new and helpful from" the week as she continues to spread the word about the disease.
Fans Rally Around Emma Hemming Willis With Kind Words
Still, in her post about World FTD Awareness Week, she comforted families that had people suffering from the disease, writing, "I'm here to let the next family know that you are not alone and that there is understanding and hope within our strong FTD community."
Taking to the comments section of Emma's post, fans made sure to let the model know how important her support has been and thanked her for using her platform to spotlight FTD.
"My father had FTD. Thank you for raising awareness and I'm sorry you are living this story too," wrote a fan.
Another commented, "Thank you for all that you are doing and my very best to Bruce & your family. I knew Bruce many years ago from the set of The Fifth Element. Amazing human!...and clearly he has an amazing wife. #RaiseFTDAwareness."
A third person said, "Beautiful person doing beautiful things for so many people. Thank you for all the good you're doing and for being a positive role model not only for your family but for so many other people. Their lives will be changed "for good" because of you. Thank you."
One individual shared the heartbreaking story of how she cared for her mother, who suffered from aphasia, and how grateful they were to have found a community of people with loved ones suffering from variants of the disease.
They wrote, "Thank you for raising awareness on this horrible disease. My mom had FTD with aphasia variant. I was my mom's caregiver and only child and didn't have anyone to connect with — didn't realize there were others who had this debilitating disease. After her passing I found a whole network."
Bruce Willis' Family Is Staunchly By His Side
After the diagnosis of his health, the "Die Hard" actor's family has kept fans up to date on his day-to-day activities by sharing wholesome videos and photos, displaying how much love and happiness he is surrounded by.
The actor has made cute appearances alongside his daughters, bonding with them through dance moves and silly fun outings. In a cute Instagram photo dump with his daughter Tallulah, they could be seen making silly and goofy faces to the camera.
Also, last year, he appeared in a fun video with another of his daughters, Mabel, and danced along with her to Lizzo's hit song, "About D*mn Time.
Emma Willis Begs Paparazzi To Give Her Husband Space
In an Instagram video in March, Emma begged paparazzi to keep their distance whenever they see the 67-year-old actor in public. She recounted an incident where photographers accosted Bruce while he was with friends in Santa Monica.
"This one is going out to the photographers and video people that are trying to get those exclusives of my husband out and about. Just keep your space," Emma stated.
"I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space," the model added. "Please don't be yelling at my husband, asking how he's doing, whatever. The woo-hooing and the yippee-ki-yay's — just don't do it. Give him the space. Allow for our family or whoever's with him that day to be able to get him from Point A to Point B safely. That's my PSA."
