Hollywood star George Clooney wants to sell off his Lake Como home.
The home has been in the family for 21 years and was purchased by Clooney for $10 million. It is now worth around $100 million, according to reports.
At Lake Como, Clooney first met his wife, Amal Clooney, in 2013 while she was in transit through the location to Cannes, France. The home has also been visited by numerous celebrities who are acquainted with the "Ocean's" franchise star.
George Clooney's House Is Estimated At $100 Million
Actor Clooney has reportedly put up his home at Lake Como for sale, per People magazine.
The 25-room estate, also known as Villa Oleandra, features a tennis court, outdoor pool, gym, theatre, and manicured gardens.
It also comes with a massive garage where Clooney parks his extensive collection of vintage motorcycles.
Clooney has owned the villa for 21 years, purchasing it in 2002 for 10 million euros, approximately $10 million. Per a source, the sale is being handled by an anonymous Milan agency and is being estimated to be sold for as high as $100 million.
"It must be said that over and above being a very good actor and investor, he's also an extremely shrewd investor, given that he bought the villa for 10 million euros," the source said of the proposed sale of Clooney's house.
He Bought The Home After Filming 'Ocean's Twelve'
Clooney reportedly fell in love with the villa after filming the movie "Ocean's Twelve" in Lake Como, Laglio.
The villa has since become one of the most famous celebrity homes in the world, and it has hosted many A-list guests over the years, including Barack Obama, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Julia Roberts.
Since acquiring the property, Clooney has actively participated in the affairs of Lake Como on several occasions.
In 2007, he mobilized his neighbors to collectively sign a petition in opposition to proposed plans for constructing a parking facility and pontoon bridge. This project was slated to pass in close proximity to his residence, implying that it may have been initiated due to his presence in the area.
Additionally, Clooney demonstrated his concern when the region faced severe rainfall and landslides during the summer of 2021. According to reports, he personally toured the affected areas and joined local residents in cleanup efforts.

While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter in 2017, Clooney opened up about meeting the human rights lawyer and how he was immediately taken aback by her qualities.
"I thought she was beautiful, and I thought she was funny and obviously smart," George said about their first meeting.
The duo had several conversations after that without seeing each other again, slowly building up their bond until they decided they should be more than friends.
He added, "She sent some pictures from when she was here, and we were writing each other, emailing, talking, mostly about what was going on in each other's lives. And over a period of time it became clear we were more than just friends."
George And Amal Clooney Got Engaged In 2014
Clooney eventually pooped the question in 2014 while having a romantic dinner with Amal at home.
"I did all the stuff, got down on my knee and did all the things you're supposed to do," Clooney recalled the moment.
However, Clooney said he did not get an instant answer as Amal was really shocked by the proposal.
He added, "She just kept staring at the ring, going, 'Oh, my God.' It was 20 minutes of me on my knee, waiting for her to say yes, because she was so shocked."
The couple would later marry in September of that same year, exchanging vows during a private ceremony held at the Aman Canal Grande luxury resort in Venice, Italy.
In 2017, they joyfully welcomed their twins, Ella and Alexander, at St. Mary's Hospital in London. Alexander was born first, at 12:54 p.m., followed by Ella at 12:56 p.m.
