Britney Spears Is ‘Getting Crafty’ While ‘Putting The Finishing Touches’ On Her Memoir

Pop star Britney Spears seems to be getting excited about the release of her upcoming memoir, “The Woman In Me.”

The tell-all book is scheduled to hit bookshelves on October 24, but until that time, there are still some changes to be made. Although sources have previously said that it is too late to include her divorce from actor Sam Asghari in the book, it looks like the pop star is still putting her “finishing touches” on her work.

On Friday night, the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer shared a video of her drawing and then included words over her drawing. The video shows her writing:

"Speak your mind even if you've been mentally or physically abused. Speak your mind...it's your mind!! The opponent's goal is to threaten your mind... even if it's wrong what you say, the opponent wins if you stop using it... So scream... dance... have gas...but stay far away from deep depression and tears cause you can bet on money that the opponent's not crying!!"

In the caption of this Instagram post, Britney wrote, “I was getting crafty … guess the word ‘opponent’ ruined it ??????‍♀️??‍♀️ !!! Mean … is it a serious matter ??? Should I coward and let my voice SHAKE or be NICE and let them know ???!!!”

Comments on this Instagram post, like most of her recent Instagram posts, have been disabled. However, fans did take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to venture that she might have been teasing new music, as it has been rumored that she might drop a new album next month to go along with her memoir.

One fan even slowed down her latest video to normal speed in order to hear what she was saying as she colored. Although the Instagram clip goes by pretty quickly, fans can actually see Britney taking her time to create her work of art in the Twitter video.

That being said, the Princess of Pop also took to Twitter later on Friday night in order to promote her new memoir.

On Friday night, the “Toxic” singer shared a video of her book hot off the presses! In the caption, she wrote, “Putting the finishing touches on my book … eeeek!” Many fans were quick to express their excitement, with many confirming that the book had already been preordered.

“We couldn’t be more excited for this, queen,” one fan commented. “So proud of you, Britney,” another follower wrote. “Pre-ordered my copy. Can’t wait!” a third fan exclaimed. “We want an interview,” another follower commented, despite the fact that it seems her team has shut down the possibility of a sit-down interview taking place.

On Thursday, one insider told Page Six that Britney’s team feels that she is still not ready to do a sit-down interview, even though it has been almost two years since her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021.

Although one insider offered her social media behavior as one of the reasons why they didn’t want Britney to do an interview, a different source told the outlet that the decision is “solely” up to Britney, and not her team, whether or not she wants to do an interview to promote her memoir.

“She’s a free woman. She’ll decide. It’s her choice,” the insider said, adding, “She’s had offers and she doesn’t want to do anything.” They noted that the media has “not been fair to Britney” in the way they portray her online.

Britney herself has frequently taken to social media to claim that “the media” has been unfair with the way that they have portrayed her in past headlines and fans are worried that Britney’s words might get twisted around now.

It seems that Britney might be feeling the same way, as a source said that Britney “has no desire” to give an interview after having her “mental health, sexuality, parenting, and body image constantly scrutinized.”
