An elephant that once belonged to the King of Pop had a pretty exciting weekend when he moonwalked out of his pen after the gate was left open.

Ali the bull elephant, wandered out of his enclosure at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens in Florida and made it all the way to hang out with the Giraffes. The zoo assured everyone that there was no danger, especially since Ali is "sweet-natured," and said "safety protocols went into place and and Zoo staff immediately jumped into action to get the big guy back where he belonged."

The big "Smooth Criminal" was walked back to his enclosure with some food incentive, and his 20 minute romp came to an end.

Ali came to the Jacksonville Zoo in 1997 after Michael Jackson stopped living at Neverland Ranch full time.

Zoo officials said they will be reviewing protocol to address how Ali's gate was left open in the first place.
