The sensational rapper, who hails from Texas like Queen Bey, was scheduled to join a string of A-list artists at this year's Global Citizen Music Festival. However, the 28-year-old canceled her appearance days before the show.

Showrunners initially reported the "Cognac Queen" singer's sudden exit from the program as a "scheduling conflict." But new information revealed the issue was caused by a rare opportunity for the San Antonio native to be on the cultural icon's ongoing Renaissance tour.

The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music event hosted to encourage fans to take action toward ending extreme poverty. This year's show was set to feature stars like Conan Gray, Stray Kids, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park.

Megan was to headline the program alongside these talented performers on Saturday, September 23. However, her absence was confirmed a week before the show. It was confirmed that the voluptuous beauty had pulled out from the event, according to a statement from the showrunners.

“Hi there — due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Megan Thee Stallion will no longer be available to perform at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival,” the festival organizers revealed on Twitter. At the time, the reason for the 28-year-old's unavailability was not announced until recently.

Sources told PageSix the “unforeseen scheduling conflict” was caused by a new offer from Beyoncé. The "Thot S---" rapper was given the opportunity to perform with the most-awarded Grammy winner in their home state of Texas.

Like the Global Citizen Festival, the "Single Ladies" songstress's Renaissance tour shall arrive in Houston on Saturday for a two-night stand at the NRG Stadium. So, did Megan ditch the charity event for Queen Bey? Another source begged to differ.

According to the insider, the 28-year-old's exit from the music festival was a scheduling problem. The informant blamed the issue on the rapper's employees, describing it as “an inadvertent duplicate scheduling mistake by her team.”

Although it might have been an error, the 4-time AMA winner would probably have chosen to perform with Beyoncé, given her admiration for the songstress. During a 2020 interview, the San Antonio native opened up about her relationship with the veteran entertainer.

The "Sweetest Pie" rapper and Beyoncé first met at a New Year's Eve party hosted by the former Destiny's Child member and her husband, Jay-Z. Reflecting on the life-changing moment, Megan raved:

As a proud member of the Beyhive, the voluptuous goddess was willing to go the extra mile for her idol. Months before her absence from the 2023 Global Citizen Festival was announced, the (28-year-old recalled her dream collaboration with Queen Bey.

The sensational women took their friendship to their music by working together on the remix of Megan's iconic "Savage" track. The "Deja Vu" hitmaker agreed to feature on the song but had only one request — for the San Antonio native to make her lyrics cleaner.

"Beyoncé probably so tired of me saying her name. We were in quarantine at this time. Beyoncé did the ['Savage Remix']. I didn't believe she was actually gonna do it, but she did it, and my mind was blown," the younger singer gushed. "I called my granny. Me and my manager was in my living room, going crazy."

"Beyoncé was like, 'Could you please make your verse a little bit cleaner?' I went in my living room, and I recorded it right then. Like, Beyoncé didn't have to tell me twice! I sent that verse right back. But it was amazing," Megan recalled the unforgettable experience.

As a fan and a fellow Texas native, the "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" actress confessed that working with the Oscar nominee sent her emotions through the roof. Additionally, the positive reactions from fans made the moment even better.

"When I saw people dancing to the song, vibing to it, loving it, how many famous people was dancing to the song, I was like, 'Oh, my God, y'all know me,'" the caramel-toned beauty exclaimed.
