The star of Oprah Winfrey's popular TV drama is wrapped up in some real-life drama of her own by ending her seven-year marriage.
According to court records obtained by The Blast, Merle Dandridge filed on Wednesday to divorce her husband, Christopher Johnston. She cites irreconcilable differences for the split.
The couple has no children and Dandridge says they are working out spousal support issues through mediation.
Dandridge plays Grace Greenleaf in the OWN hit, "Greenleaf," which centers on the scandals and secrets of an affluent African-American family in Memphis as they operate a megachurch.
She has also appeared in numerous Broadway productions, and has video game fame as the voice of Alyx Vance in "Half-Life 2" and Evelyn in "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
Dandridge and Johnston were married in 2011 in Sherman Oaks, and even though "Greenleaf" is taped in Atlanta, the two live in Los Angeles.
