‘Love Is Blind’ Jackie Bonds Is 'Still Sick' About Josh Demas Split Following ‘After The Altar’

“Love Is Blind” season 4 alums Jackie Bonds and Josh Demas are no longer together following the drama in the “After the Altar” special that recently aired on Netflix.

The 27-year-old dental assistant had a conversation with Josh’s ex-fiancée, Monica Rodriguez, during the last part of the three-part special. Although their engagement wasn’t shown during the show, Monica later took to Instagram to share her side of the story.

Josh wasn’t happy with what she had to say, and although Jackie and Monica used to be best friends, Jackie “ghosted” her former friend in order to stand by her man. However, it seems that Josh wasn’t too happy with the conversation that aired on Netflix and decided to call it quits on their relationship.

In a TikTok video captured by RealityAshley, Jackie admits that she and the 31-year-old project engineer broke up due to the conversation she had with Monica during the “After the Altar” special that aired on Netflix ahead of the season 5 premiere next week.

“[I’m] still sick about it low-key. I love that man,” she told her followers. “I was like, 'D*mn, I had all these life plans with you, you know? And then you just don’t even care,' and I’m like, that’s crazy, over a conversation with somebody? — It don’t matter.”

“I tried to fix it, I tried to mend it. I did everything I could, and what’s crazy is that looking back at these messages, I look like a begging ass b----,” Jackie continued.

She went on to say that she felt “sick” re-reading text messages she sent to her ex where she basically “begged” him to be with her. However, it looks like she’s past it now, as she added, “It is what it is.” Aside from “Love Is Blind” promo images, all past photos of her and Josh have since been taken down.

Jackie jumped into her relationship with Josh pretty quickly after she ended her engagement with Marshall Glaze, which was shown during season 4 of “Love Is Blind.” One year after the show wrapped filming, Jackie and Josh decided not to attend the season 4 reunion in person. Instead, they did a quick Q&A session with co-host Vanessa Lachey that upset many fans due to Jackie’s lack of “accountability” for the split.

In a lengthy Instagram post published back in April, Jackie apologized to both Marshall and the public for her “actions and words.”

“I would like to start this off by saying sincerely apologize and take accountability for my actions and words in my relationship between Marshall and I,” Jackie began. “I also want to take the time to express my gratitude and appreciation for Marshall clearing up that I did in fact end the relationship before meeting Josh at the coffee shop.”

“I understand that it was a quick transition from one relationship to another but this relationship did not start as most do in the real world,” she continued. “To some, it may seem as if it was a quick transition, however, there is only a small percent that can be shown on TV and my connection with Josh was much deeper than it seems from a viewer’s perspective.”

“I also would like to thank Marshall for taking accountability for the derogatory comment that was made off-camera,” she added. “I would also like to apologize and take accountability for my disparaging remarks as well in those leaked messages. It was tasteless and disrespectful to speak about anyone that way.”

“It was never a battle between Marshall and I,” she continued. “I just wanted to clear the timeline of the events that took place as it looked as if I was a cheater and starting one relationship before leaving the other.”

“I am thankful that Vanessa Lachey allowed me to speak my peace and take accountability for my actions,” she went on. “All I can do is learn and grow from this experience. Like Marshall said at the reunion we both deserve happiness, peace, and to be able to move on from what transpired last year.”

“Marshall and I have personally apologized to each other and also took accountability for our actions and have moved on. I would also like to apologize and take accountability to the public as it was done on the show for everyone to see,” she concluded. “Actions speak louder than words.”

Unfortunately, many fans weren’t buying her apology. “This literally doesn’t change anything; you are still wrong for not communicating about not going to the dress fitting? Still wrong for keeping the ring?” one fan commented. “Still wrong for trying to emasculate that man on national TV? Still wrong for doing the show for clout? Still wrong for linking with Josh as quickly as you did idc, y’all were in the REAL WORLD at that point and couldn’t even wait to once again embarrass Marshall. You didn’t have any regard for his feelings at all and you said that out of your own mouth. Like bye fr.”
