Britney Spears Poses In Animal Print: ‘It’s Like Alice In Wonderland’

Pop star Britney Spears was very active on Instagram on Friday night, sharing four different posts with her Instagram followers. One of the posts contained an entire carousel full of photos of her posing in an animal-print bodysuit.

The “Toxic” singer later followed it up with another photo of her staring into the camera. It looks like she is about to brush her long blonde hair back out of her face as she gives fans another shot of the inside of the living room… although, in the caption, she seemed to hint that she was somewhere else.

On Friday afternoon, the “Hold Me Closer” singer took to Instagram to share a single snap that featured her looking into the camera while wearing an animal-print onesie. In the caption of this post, she asked, “Are we on the phone ? ??? WHERE IS SHE ??? It’s like Alice In Wonderland - only God knows as***** !!!”

The “Where is she???” might have been referring to herself, as Britney usually posts more on Instagram when she’s traveling, if her past social media behavior has been any indication. What fans noticed more than her throwback photo, though, is that comments to this post were turned on.

“WHERE IS SHE REALLY?!” one fan asked. “This ain't Britney Spears! Comments are on for management to test the waters to see how far they can get away with this body double,” another follower commented. “You okay?” a third fan asked. “This is not Britney,” another follower wrote. "What does this mean? This is just bizarre," another fan chimed in.

Other followers expressed excitement for rumors of new music amid the release of her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which hits bookshelves on October 24. Still, most comments trailed back to conspiracy theories that Britney was not in control of her life after her 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021. “Wonder how long this will last? But seriously, where is she?” another user asked.

Two hours ago, the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer took to Instagram to share a painting of a chick doing a headstand. Although she didn’t write anything in the caption, fans couldn’t help but notice that she did not disable comments as she usually does.

Many fans took to the comments to write “I love you” or “we love you” or to talk about how much her music has inspired them. “Look at all this love for YOU @britneyspears! Be free! Be you! We adore you and are praying for you!” one fan exclaimed, although there were unfortunately many negative comments on this post as well.

“You have a realize that one of the reasons why people are always talking badly about you on Instagram is because you post photo shoots of yourself dancing with just your underwear and no pants. It makes you look mentally unstable. Please keep your clothes on otherwise no normal person will have respect for you,” one user wrote, sparking a lengthy debate in the comments, with some fans agreeing and others saying to leave Britney alone.

One fan responded to the criticism, writing, “Her body her choice. And if you look back at her tours most of them half naked clothes or very revealing clothes and dancing on stage. She has been doing the same thing for over 20 years but now is a problem because she is not making money or entertaining people and just having fun.”

“Funny how you allow comments on this post. But not where you look positively psychotic!!” another user exclaimed. “From queen of pop to laughing stock. It’s definitely entertaining,” another follower wrote. “Being a bully says more about you than about her,” another fan responded.

Many fans responded to each and every negative post to try to counter the criticism. “You’re a beautiful person and you are too smart for these people who don’t understand what you’re doing/ the meaning of your posts,” one fan commented. “Don’t let them get to you because they like the idea of you being ‘crazy’ and a mess a little too much. Love to you.”

Update: She deleted her initial Instagram post and then reposted it with the same caption. However, this post does not contain just one photo, but a whole carousel full of photos of some of her previous outfits.
