Snoop Dogg Revealed He Is Scared Of Horses
In a recent episode of his YouTube news series, Double G News, Snoop Dogg, 51, opened up about his unusual fear of horses, admitting, "I'm just f**king scared of them."
The rap artist, dressed in a bathrobe, was joined on the show by Tiffany Haddish, who mentioned her childhood dream of raising horses. In response, Snoop Dogg disclosed his equinophobia, admitting he's genuinely afraid of horses.
Haddish expressed disbelief at Snoop Dogg's fear, considering his stature, exclaiming, "What? As big as you are?"
The Death Row Records owner affirmed that his fear remains "to this day," even though he can't explain it. He mentioned his comfort around other animals like ostriches and iguanas, adding, "You ain't never seen me in a scene with a horse. I've been in a scene with ostriches, iguanas, all kinds of sh*t."
He emphasized his aversion to horses, stating, "Ain't never been in a scene with a horse, like, get that motherf**ker away from me. I don't know why!"
He's Committed To Overcoming His Equinophobia
During the conversation with Haddish, Snoop Dogg shared that his wife, Shante Broadus, had a horse that she enjoyed riding for her peace of mind, but he avoided any interaction with the animal and preferred to keep his distance.
Haddish playfully suggested that perhaps in a past life, Snoop Dogg had a bad experience with a horse, to which he humorously replied, "I think I may have been the Headless Horseman in my past life," referencing the folklore figure known for riding headless on horseback and tormenting villagers.
Despite not understanding the origin of his phobia, the "Bad Decisions" rapper acknowledged the significance of horses to people and expressed openness to overcoming his fear. "I understand what a horse means to people," he said. "Maybe one day somebody can introduce me to a baby horse. ... A little jackass or something that I can learn how to be around."
Snoop Dogg Once Had A Pet Cockroach Named 'The Gooch'
Despite his fear of horses, Snoop Dogg is surprisingly open-minded when it comes to coexisting with other species. In a recent chat with Hip Hop Wolf, the "Baby Boy" actor shared an unusual story about a giant insect that once comfortably resided in his home.
According to Snoop, they had a cockroach they couldn't kill when they first moved into his apartment, so they affectionately named it "The Gooch."
"We tried to kill the muthafucka when we first moved in and he wouldn't die so we called him 'The Gooch,'" he explained, per Hip Hop DX.
Over time, this roach kept growing, eventually reaching the size of a "dollar bill." Snoop and his companions embraced their unique roommate, even leaving food out for "The Gooch" and occasionally providing it with a meal.
He continued, "He just kept getting bigger and bigger. I stayed in that apartment for like about six, seven months — cuz grew to the size of about a whole dollar bill."
