On Wednesday afternoon, the "From Dusk Till Dawn" actress took to Instagram to share a whole carousel full of photos that featured her posing with some pretty famous faces, like Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian.
"What a night! Thank you to everybody who came out to celebrate 15 years of the @keringfoundation and the second annual 'Caring for Women' dinner to benefit the Malala Fund, National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), and New York City Alliance Against Sexual Violence," she wrote in the caption. "I am so honored to work alongside this brilliant foundation to combat gender-based violence and continue the fight to protect vulnerable women and children all across the globe."
She also repeated her message in Spanish, writing, "¡Qué noche! Gracias a todos los que asistieron a celebrar los 15 años de @keringfoundation y la segunda cena anual 'Caring for Women' en beneficio del Malala Fund, National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) and New York City Alliance Against Sexual Violence. Es un gran honor para mí trabajar junto a esta brillante fundación para combatir la violencia de género y continuar la lucha para proteger a las mujeres y los niños vulnerables en todo el mundo."
She tagged German Larkin for the photos and also tagged some of the celebrities who posed with her in the pictures, like Oprah, Malala, Zoe Kravitz, Channing Tatum, Christiana Musk, Nicole Kidman, Linda Evangelista, Kim Kardashian, Isabelle Huppert, Gayle King, and Olivia Wilde. Olivia was one of the first to comment, writing, “Our fearless leader I love you” along with a red heart emoji.
“What a guest list!!!” one fan exclaimed. “Incredible and important work!” another follower gushed. “This is one of my favorite pictures. Look at you guys. And I LOVE that you’re wearing red,” another fan chimed in. “Amazing! Keep up the good work!” another follower exclaimed. “Salma, you are incredible!” another fan agreed.
“What a beautiful foundation, a great cause, and most importantly the longevity and work put in. I believe in trusting the energy we want to attract, last night you getting ready with pink roses behind you,” another follower wrote, referring to several photos of her red dress that she had posted on Instagram the night before the big event.
Salma’s husband, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault, 61, is actually the chairman of the Kering Foundation and Salma is on the board of directors. This was the second charity dinner following the success of last year’s event, which raised three million dollars. The Kering Foundation was first started in 2008 with the goal to address gender-based violence and support survivors.
