Paulina Porizkova Takes A Shower On Instagram To Show Off Her Hair Products

Model Paulina Porizkova has never been shy about putting her body on display, but this time, she decided to hop in the shower!

Fans don’t actually see much of her body in the video. Instead, she gives her fans a quick look at what hair products she uses in the shower in order to maintain her wavy tresses!

In a video set to Tristen J.’s “Wash It,” the Czech-born model had fun in the shower as she showed off the different shampoos and products that she used. She had way too much fun with her purple shampoo, styling it on top of her head and letting it fall in a clump on top of her face.

“Purple shampoos are ‘it’ if you want to get an ashy tone to your hair,” she wrote in the caption. “Since I’m trying to merge my existing grays with the rest of my hair, @joshuabarbierihair puts in highlights in my hair to blend the color better, and then I wash with purple shampoos to keep it from going brassy.”

“But I also like to switch it up; most shampoos leave a coating and that stops them from being effective if you use it over a long time,” she continued. “My current favorites are Olaplex N 4P purple shampoo and Olaplex N5 conditioner. For the non-purple: Kerastase Chroma Absolu shampoo and conditioner.”

“And really any purple shampoo I haven’t tried yet - and a hotel shampoo will do in a pinch,” she added. “My big trick is not to over-wash. Having had my hair professionally styled every day takes its toll - and all the hairstylists I’ve ever worked with advised me not to wash my hair when I could.”

“Once a week is mostly enough- and if my hair seems a little on the dirty side, dry shampoo on the scalp ties me over,” she continued. “My current favorite dry shampoos are Olaplex N4D dry shampoo; Living proof dry shampoo; and Oribe gold lust dry shampoo.”

“This is not a sponsored post; once again I’m only sharing what I like. And it’s likely to keep changing- just like me,” she wrote. “For those of you who feel inclined to tell me what color hair I ought to be sporting to look younger- please know this is not my priority.”

“I’m happy with where I am at - my hair is now a mix of brown and grey and some fake blond bits to tie it all together,” she joked. “I love the freedom of not having to hide my grays- and THAT feeling is my priority.” She ended her post with the hashtags “Between JLo and Betty White,” “Love The Skin You’re In,” “Older Is Bolder,” and “Gray.”

Fans were quick to shower her post with their own haircare experiences. “I am doing the same - added highlights so that the new gray coming in makes the transition look intentional - I have been using a Redken Blue conditioner because I’m a brunette and I can go sort of orange.,” one fan shared.

“I am 3.5 years into all-natural—cold turkey stopped dying & LOVE my silvers. Love to see yours too—hi profile folks who are on the silver train are really changing the narrative and I love that,” another follower commented. “Anywho, I’ve found purple shampoos I’ve tried to be drying. Haven’t used Olaplex—is it a better option?” Another fan suggested they try Kevin Murphy's Blonde Angel.

“I have finally accepted I have been grey since my 30s just turned 56! I finally moving into growing it out without dye,” another fan chimed in. “I’m saddened with all the stigma and everything that goes with it! Wish me luck! Been admiring many women at work who sport their grey with pride! With me, it’s a slow process.”

“I wanted your beautiful brown hair back SO badly! You are the most iconic brunette ever!” another follower exclaimed. “Brunettes are high maintenance after your gray starts to come in. I've had to abandon it on the top of my head. I get why she gets highlights,” another fan commented.

“The thing is- I am no longer brown!” Paulina responded. “Just as my face softens, so does my hair color. Wishing for me to go back to brunette is like wishing for me to be wrinkleless. I’m changing, and I embrace it.”
