Sophia Bush's ex-husband, Grant Hughes, responded to her divorce filing claiming he doesn't want to pay any kind of spousal support.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Hughes is asking the Los Angeles County Court to terminate its ability to reward the actress any spousal support in the divorce.

As we reported, Bush filed for divorce on August 4, 2023, after just 13 months of marriage.

Hughes claims the couple officially split on June 27, 2023, a date that both parties agreed on. Of course, they don't reveal exactly what went down on that day -- except agreeing there are "irreconcilable differences" that are keeping them from staying a couple.

We are guessing this duo had a prenuptial agreement, considering they were rich and famous prior to getting married.

The couple's property might be a point of contention, with Hughes stating in the response he, "is not certain of the full nature and extent of the community and quasi-community property at this time and at such time as he believes he is aware of the full extent and description of community and quasi-community property, he will either seek leave of Court to amend this Response and/or file further pleadings identifying the community and quasi-community property."

In the response, Grant is asking the former couple to be ordered to split the legal fees associated with the divorce. Again, this is something Sophia agrees to.

We broke the story, Sophia filed the original petition for divorce and asked that she not have to pay spousal support either. In other words, these two might just go their separate ways with minimal or no money changing hands. Not your typical Hollywood divorce!

Shockingly, just one month prior to their split, Bush posted a 1-year anniversary message on Instagram appearing to very much be together with him. "Today marks 365 days of calling you ‘husband,’” she captioned a throwback image from their wedding day. Adding, "Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favorite. Happy Anniversary."

Again, it appears something MAJOR must have happened on June 27. The anniversary post has since been deleted, along with most other mentions of her ex-husband.

Sophia stunned fans just a few weeks later, after having to leave her '2:22 A Ghost Story West End' production after catching a bad "virus."

"After weeks of being intermittently pulled off stage & visiting multiple doctors, specialists, & an all-nighter in the ER, I’ve been advised by my medical team in London & America to stop performing in order to get this under control & to do so in the country where I reside under the care of my own doctors," she posted on social media.

The former couple started a non-profit together but reportedly will continue to run the foundation together.

If the couple signed a prenuptial agreement, it most likely spelled out any spousal support that would be paid to the other party.

Let's just hope this will be one of the small amount of Hollywood divorce's that isn't nasty.

The case is ongoing.
