Tyrese Gibson Refutes DJ Envy's Claims That He Disrespected His Wife And Was Blocked By The Couple

Tyrese Gibson's feud with DJ Envy reignites as he disputes claims of disrespect towards the DJ's wife, Gia Casey, in a lengthy Instagram video. Gibson presented text messages as evidence, challenging Envy's assertion that he was blocked until recently.

Envy and Gibson both appeared on "The Breakfast Club," during which host Charlamagne Tha God asked if the DJ appreciated the actor and singer's help saving his marriage. This question led to a back-and-forth between the duo, resulting in Gibson's latest online rants.

Amid the ongoing beef with Envy, Tyrese recently vented his frustration over substantial child support payments in his song "Love Transaction" and filed a lawsuit against Home Depot, alleging discrimination and racial profiling during a store visit.

The DJ Envy and Tyrese Gibson dispute has taken a new turn as the "Fast & Furious" star called out the DJ over assertions he made about Gibson disrespecting his wife.

The actor disputed Envy's claims while addressing the whole drama in a lengthy Instagram video, even going as far as providing "receipts" to prove he was never disrespectful.

Gibson presented text messages from the past year to refute Envy's statement that they blocked him until a month ago.

"If your wife blocked me, if you blocked me, how are we communicating on anything?" Gibson asked before going on to state that Envy's claims were a "f**king lie."

The singer's receipts included a clip of his conversation with Envy's wife when he shared photos of his Rolls-Royce with her and another where she replied, "Absolutely beautiful," to a picture of an island he purchased in Turks and Caicos.

He also mentioned that Envy and his wife weren't supportive during his tough times despite him helping save their marriage.

Gibson also provided a different perspective, explaining that DJ Envy's timeline regarding his behavior on psych meds doesn't align with any alleged disrespect towards Envy's wife. 

The "Sweet Lady" hitmaker asserted his character, stating he would never disrespect a colleague's partner. 

Gibson and Envy's feud began during an interview on Charlamagne Tha God's radio show, "The Breakfast Club," when the DJ was asked if he appreciated the actor stepping in to save his marriage.

This question opened a can of worms between Envy and Gibson, with the latter claiming he never felt appreciated and supported by the DJ, especially while he was going through a divorce in 2020.

According to Envy, he didn't check in on Gibson because he felt the actor disrespected his wife, which led to the couple blocking him until recently, a claim that Gibson has now refuted with his latest video.

Just last month, Gibson expressed his frustration over the substantial financial burden he faced in his recent child support case with his ex-wife in his latest song, "Love Transaction."

According to TMZ, in the new track, the "Fast and Furious" alum didn't hold back in addressing what he sees as his estranged wife, Samantha Lee's, approach when she took him to court earlier this year for money.

In August of the previous year, the "Baby Boy" actor had been ordered to pay Lee and her attorneys a significant sum of $636,000 after initially refusing to pay the court-ordered $10,000. This led to his contempt of court in April, where he was compelled to settle his debts.

Last month, Gibson, accompanied by two associates known for providing construction services to him, initiated legal action against The Home Depot.

The lawsuit alleged that the trio faced "outrageous discriminatory mistreatment and consumer racial profiling" during a visit to The Home Depot's West Hills, California store in February.

Gibson and plaintiffs Eric Mora and Manuel Hernandez are pursuing damages exceeding $1 million, reflective of his lifetime expenditures at Home Depot locations. They are also seeking punitive damages and a declaratory judgment asserting that Home Depot's actions violated California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.

The lawsuit alleges that when Gibson, Mora, and Hernandez visited The Home Depot's West Hills location on Feb. 11, Tyrese decided to wait in his car while the others used his credit card for their purchase when fans recognized him in the store.

Although Gibson told the cashier they could use his credit card, the lawsuit claims the cashier refused, citing "store policy" and demanded ID. The manager wouldn't speak with Gibson, leading to a heated discussion with the cashier before completing the transaction.

According to People magazine, the lawsuit alleges racial profiling based on their skin color and, for Mora and Hernandez, their national origin, accusing employees of interfering with the purchase.
