During an interview with ET's Cassie DiLaura, the 26-year-old discussed her financial situation. She confessed that she used her money before her parents' prison sentence without thinking much about it. The podcaster admitted:

"I will make no bones about it, I spent my money like it was never ever gonna go away. I never thought it was gonna go away."

She explained how being in a single-income household brought about a change in her perspective and behavior. The "Chrisley Knows Best" star then further shared:

"I feel like God never gives you more than you can bear. I feel like what is happening right now is exactly what I needed to not be this spoiled, entitled whatever, because what's happening now is testing who I am as a person," .

Additionally, Savannah noted that her work opportunities were scarce for about a year, highlighting the tangible impact of her changed situation.

Balancing the responsibility for her brother and niece with the prospect of starting her own family has also left Savannah in a quandary. Although she has not shared much about her new relationship on her podcast, The Blast reported that the actress worried how her caregiving role might impact it.

In an episode of her podcast, "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley," she kicked off the subject by stating, "I'm in that anger part of grief right now. I'm just angry at everything. And also, after taking on the kids. I'm like, 'Okay. Do I actually want kids? Do I? You know, seeing how much this whole thing has affected us?'"

While acknowledging that her initial reaction stemmed from "a place of anger," the realtor emphasized that she harbored no negative sentiments about taking on such a crucial role for the children.

She even highlighted her genuine enjoyment of spending cherished moments with the two adorable kids, whom she regarded as her "everything," before adding:

"I try to be a good adult figure in their life, but it's really hard being 25 and having two kids and trying to figure out what's best for them because normally you get to grow — like you get to grow from one to two to three to four. Like you get to grow through the ages. Now, I'm just being thrown into it."

Although the couple received a combined prison sentence of 19 years in November last year, The Blast recently noted that they are set to be released earlier than initially anticipated.

It was reported that heir conduct in prison may have led to a reduction in their punishment. The outlet noted that the Federal Bureau of Prisons online inmate search system indicates that Todd is slated to be released from the Federal Prison Camp [FPC] Pensacola, Florida, on January 22, 2033.

This is nearly two years earlier than his initial end date for the 12-year sentence. Similarly, Julie's sentence has been shortened by 14 months, and she might now be released from the Federal Medical Center Lexington on October 19, 2028.

The positive development follows shortly after their son, Chase, penned a critical letter calling for an inquiry into the inappropriate behavior at FPC Pensacola. The 27-year-old had previously served time in federal prison after being convicted on one count of fraud last December.

In the letter, he claimed that the consistent neglect of duty at FPC Pensacola had reached such a level that it had become the standard way of operating, with authorities disregarding ongoing problems.
