Amy Schumer recently faced cyberbullying allegations after she put up a post of 56-year-old Nicole Kidman at the U.S. Open, having a somewhat “robotic” expression. In the shot, Kidman was sitting with her legs crossed as she rested her elbow on her leg, supporting her chin on her hand, watching the game with intense concentration. Schumer poked fun at her wide-eyed pose, captioning the since-deleted post, “This how human sit.”

Both were attending the U.S. Open final match between Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka that happened the past weekend, with Kidman wearing a pink dress. Instagram users slammed 42-year-old Schumer in the comment section, wondering why she was targeting Kidman and making fun of her.

One Instagram user asked, “Are you cyberbullying Oscar and Emmy winner Nicole Kidman right now?” Another exclaimed, “Wow so mean! I expected one of my favorite comediennes to have more respect for other people’s feelings than this.”

Yet another Instagram user noped to the “mean girl” tone of the post, writing, “Have always thought you were funny, seen all your specials, movies, read your book. But this selective mean girl public trolling stuff? No thanks.”

It seems Schumer realized that she’d gone a bit overboard, especially since Kidman did not respond to her post or the trolling, and deleted the post.

Here are some of Kidman's pictures at the U.S. Open...

She Apologized But Also Slammed Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis

Schumer also decided to tender an "apology," not to Kidman, but to anyone who was hurt by her allusion that Kidman was anything less than human.

That said, she fired a direct salvo at the "cast of 'That '70s Show' and perhaps specifically Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, given that they wrote letters of support for convicted rapist, Danny Masterson, who has been sentenced to 30 years to life for his crimes.

In a thoroughly sarcastic apology, Schumer wrote, "I want to apologize to all the people I hurt posting a photo of Nicole Kidman and alluding to her being an alien."

Targeting Kutcher and Kunis, Schumer then continued to write, "I will be asking the cast of that 70s show to write letters advocating for my forgiveness." She also hashtagged "taketimetoheal" in the same post, but deleted it later. That said, keen-eyed Twitter pages spotted it and spread it further.

While social media users seemed okay with Schumer trolling Kutcher and Kunis, as well the other supporters of Danny Masterson, no one's happy with her necessarily dragging Nicole Kidman into this.  Not that Kidman has responded to any of the drama...

She also posted a picture of Coco Gauff, with an encouraging comment on it, but Instagram users were having none of it as one wrote, "Lift one woman up just to tear another down… bully masking as a comedian.."

Amy Schumer Also Targeted Jessica Chastain

Not to be outdone, Schumer also memed herself to protest some SAG-AFTRA members who are promoting films amid the ongoing writers and actors strike, even as they had the requisite permission from SAG-AFTRA leaders.

She posted a picture of her at the U.S. Open, snapped with her mouth open, and captioned it, “Me watching @sagaftra actors do press at Venice.”

Schumer seems to be targeting the likes of Jessica ChastainAdam DriverJacob Elordi, and Patrick Dempsey, who are promoting films at the Venice Film Festival. Chastain even addressed why she was promoting the movie, during the strike, saying. “I was incredibly nervous about coming. There were actually some people on my team who advised me against it.”

She wore a “SAG-AFTRA on strike” shirt and explained that her reason for promoting the movie is because SAG-AFTRA has been clear that the actors need to support the strike via social media, walk the picket line and to work but are also allowed to support interim agreement projects, such as “Memory.”

That said, Schumer has deleted this post as well. That's strike three, so she may as well think before posting from now on, feel many social media users.

But then again, this is Schumer, so maybe not.
