On Monday night, the five-time Olympic champion had her fans saying “Hi, Barbie!” as she sat outside in a pink two-piece that showed off her glowing tan. She is wearing a cowboy hat over her long blonde hair, which is blown about her face from the wind. Even the sails on her boat are striped white and pink as she gives fans a brief glimpse into her summer fun.

“End of summer things. A little bit of this - brunching with @brittrix and the boys - to a little bit of that,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post before she went on to give a special dedication to the final slide of her Instagram carousel, which featured her friends showing off their rings.

“only felt appropriate to end this little hodgepodge of photos with the final slide: celebrating the end of an incredible season,” she wrote. “And while I couldn’t contribute any bling to the array of titles here so I was however self-selected to be the official photographer for the Sooner’s athletic department here- focusing specifically on the gymnastics, tennis, and football players."

This isn’t the first time that Nastia has given her fans a glimpse at their recent get-together. In late August, she posted a whole Instagram carousel full of fun photos of her former Olympic friends, who have since become like family to her.

It looks like Nastia and her friends had a great time catching up after over a decade since they competed together in the Beijing Olympics in 2008. “History was made, medals were won… but what’s even greater than both of those two things is the incredible bond that we formed 15 years ago,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

“As an only child in somewhat of an individual sport, this group of incredible humans became my brothers and sisters for the rest of my life,” she continued. “While they say you can’t choose your family, you also can’t choose your Olympic teammates - but I would continue to choose each and every one of them again and again and again.”

“Forever grateful for the many moments and memories created in Beijing that summer in 2008 - but perhaps even more grateful that 15 years later we have grown closer together - something we’ve all been told is rare,” she added. “The rest was said around the dinner table last night, all of us together again… a night spent laughing, crying and reminiscing on 15 years. Love you forever… see y’all soon.”

Fans and famous friends showered the post with red heart emojis and love. “I used to have all your guys’ posters on my wall and would memorize your beam routines and pretend do them on my curb as a kid,” one fan confessed.

“The pic of you and Shawn is so sweet I can’t. Y’all are inspirations forever to so many people. Blessed to live in the same timeline as you so many other bada** gymnasts showing the world how to be strong,” another follower wrote.

“Pretty much the entirety of both of the 08 teams including Ivana who I believe went as a reserve for the women’s team. It’s great to see you all together in person again,” a third fan chimed in. “Some tears were shed watching these pictures. You were kicka** athletes but even more so kicka** humans!” another follower shared as fans expressed hope that they would all have another get-together again soon!

Although she retired in July 2012, Nastia's gymnastics career is never far behind her. She has left an impressive legacy behind, as she was the 2008 Olympic all-around champion, a five-time Olympic medalist, the 2005 and 2007 World champion on the balance beam, and the 2005 World champion on the uneven bars.
