In June, Willis was an open book with her fans after she revealed she battled with her mental health and even had a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder.
Detailing her challenging story in an essay, she explained that when people first learned about her getting mental help years ago, that was not a piece of information she was willing to share.
In her words, ''The first time I entered psychiatric treatment, at age 20, my medical information found its way to the ''Daily Mail.'' Willis added, ''Back then, the choice to tell my story was taken from me. Now, nine years and a lot of therapy later, I get to make that decision myself.''
She further explained why she was initially tight-lipped about her struggles. She wrote, ''And the fact that, although I believe that everyone's suffering is real, I have always felt afraid of looking like a spoiled, insensitive, whining jerk. I was reared to keep my mouth shut.''
