The cat is out of the bag about Grimes' secret third child with Elon Musk! But the singer has a few things to get off her chest.
The "Shinigami Eyes" hitmaker, whose real name is Claire Boucher, publicly confirmed the birth of two of her children with the billionaire. However, their last baby's existence did not make waves until a teaser of an upcoming biography written by Walter Isaacson on Musk revealed the boy's existence.
Days after the viral update, the entertainer addressed the arrival of her second son Techno Mechanicus. Instead of a typical announcement, the confirmation of his birth came via a lengthy post about her relationship with one of her ex-lover's baby mamas, Shivon Zilis.

Following the shocking reveal of the former couple's secret child, the mother of three explained the reason behind the boy's concealment from the public. In a lengthy message on X, the 35-year-old noted her hesitance in addressing the topic amid her speculated feud with Musk's other partner.
Zilis, who welcomed twins with the SpaceX founder in 2021, was rumored to have a strained relationship with Grimes However, the "Genesis" songstress clarified that their problems were caused by poor communication.
"Hey, I wud prefer to not breathe any more life into this current press cycle, but I want to de-escalate the narrative atm. I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue," Grimes' tweet read.
"This wasn't her fault, plz don't be angry at her! We respect each other a lot, and we're excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together. I truly apologize for responding to Walter like that," the media personality confessed, referring to Isaacson, the author behind the bombshell biography.
According to the "Player Of Games" artist, her fiery response to the book was a "very gut-level reaction" to a challenging subject. The Canadian sensation admitted to having problems with communication about Zilis's twins. However, she had forgiven the situation.
"Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it's very evident she's an amazing human, and we both just want what's best for our kids," Grimes continued before finally revealing why she hid the truth about her third child.
"I wish I could show u how cute little Techno is, but my priority rn is keeping my babies out of the public eye. Plz respect that at this time," the 35-year-old concluded her tweet. Her message received a positive response from Zilis, who echoed similar sentiments about their squashed problems.
The Yale graduate expressed gratitude for the peaceful resolution and hoped the pair's children would foster a friendly relationship. The Neuralink employee's reply partly read:
"So glad we had such a wonderful talk, was insanely overdue. You’re a total badass, and I respect you very much as well. I can’t wait for kiddo play date, and congrats on baby Tau as well!"
The Juno Award Winner Was Allegedly Upset By The Way She Learned About Zilis's Twins
As stated, Grimes was forced to open up about her third child following the released snippets of Walter Isaacson's upcoming biography about Musk. One of the teasers reported by The Wall Street Journal claimed the Canadian sensation was angry about the revelation of her ex-lover's twins with the Neuralink executive.
According to the author, the "Medieval Warfare" singer was "outraged" to learn about Zilis's children with Musk. However, it was not out of jealousy for her former beau's new flame but because she found out about the kids, Strider and Azure, at the same time as the public.
The entertainer's feelings were presumably hurt because the twins arrived weeks before she and the billionaire welcomed their second child, a daughter, via surrogacy in December 2021.
Isaacson's biography about the business magnate's life also unveiled that the duo had secretly welcomed a third child. The boy named Techno Mechanicus, or simply Tau, reportedly arrived via surrogate. However, neither his age nor birth date are specified in the snippet.
The boy's existence came a month after his mother got candid about her children growing up privileged. During a candid interview, the 35-year-old was asked if she was concerned about Musk's wealth impacting their children.
“A little bit. I think their life is gonna be pretty intense. Being Elon’s kid is not the same as being anyone’s kid,” the Bazaar Women of the Year Award honoree admitted.
