Heather Rae El Moussa Gets Candid About Finding Balance As A Mother

Heather Rae El Moussa has learned a few lessons from being a mother.

The reality star recently took to social media to inform her multitude of followers about learning to balance what she shared about her life online and what she kept private. Heather and her husband, Tarek El Moussa welcomed their first child together on January 31, 2023, almost two years after tying the knot.

Since welcoming her first child into the world, Heather's Instagram feed has experienced a decline in usage. Succinctly put, the "Selling Sunset" star has noticeably reduced the amount of content and captions that she uploads to the social media platform.

Seeming to notice the trend herself, the 35-year-old shared an insight into why she had taken that route using a slew of pictures from some of her favorite moments with her son Tristan Jay. In the pictures, Heather is seen goofing around with the tot, holding him up while beaming, and placing her nose on his cheek.

The last snap in the slides featured the mother of one stunning in a white halter-neck dress with a deep neckline. She smiled with all her teeth as she looked at her husband, who was making gestures at their son with his hands. Underneath the captivating shots, the Netflix celeb began:

"The candid moments of motherhood >> ? Trying to find the balance of posting and sharing my life with you guys while also keeping some things more private than others. And balance is something I get asked about a lot and I think the real answer is I'm doing the best I frickin can some days are better than others and other days are more chaotic, that's life though."

Continuing, she disclosed that her priorities had shifted significantly with Tristan and her family taking precedence. However, she noted that maintaining a schedule as much as she could was crucial to juggling everything.

To that end, she made use of moments when her tot was asleep to prioritize tasks like catching up on work emails, reviewing designs, working out, having a meal, or focusing on real estate projects. Heather further explained:

"In the past, it was a lot easier to share everything I was doing on social media but now I think a big part of me likes to stay in my happy bubble and focus my energy on the things I mentioned like filming, my health, skincare, our flips and our family."

She concluded by noting that although "balance isn't easy these days," doing "something every day to bring health, happiness, and calm to my life is my advice to anyone who's feeling something similar."

Heather's vulnerable post quickly pulled traction, with Tarek praising in the comments section, "Supermom and wife ❤️," and her "Selling Sunset" co-star Chrishell Stause chiming, "We love a transparent queen ???."

At the same time, this fan gushed, "So sweet! You seem like such a great mom, Heather, and another instructed, "You don't owe us anything. Be true to yourself and your family, and don't worry about anything else."

The infectiously sweet atmosphere comes just days after the "Love in the Time of Machines" actress and Tristan went on a double date with Bre Tiesi and her son, Legendary Love Cannon.

As reported by The Blast, Tiesi shared an authentic Instagram photo of her and Heather cradling their little ones amidst beach chairs, umbrellas, and a boho-style tent adorned with cozy blankets, creating a serene scene. 

In her caption, the real estate agent revealed a story beyond, playfully teasing, "If only you knew what we went through for this photo! ??☀️?." She expressed gratitude to "@tableandeve" for the charming setup and humorously apologized for the unexpected participation of the waves.

Heather shared more details of the day in the comments, typing, "Omg the chaos ???? 2 babies, naps, beach, waves…… I'm still recovering." A fellow beachgoer left a comment, mentioning that she was privy to the events of that day, noting that the waves were indeed "crazy."

Heather responded using three laughing emojis, while Tiesi expressed, "I'm so glad someone bore witness to see the pure chaos ?."
