Rumer Willis is having a blast as a mom, and introducing her daughter to her lavish lifestyle!
Rumer, who is the oldest daughter of veteran actor Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, welcomed her only daughter, Louetta, on April 18, 2023, with her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.
Since baby Lou's birth, the ever-loving mother has shared glimpses of the little one on social media, including her most recent update, highlighting their first "solo trip" together.
Rumer Willis Flaunts Prepped Look For First Solo Trip With Daughter On Instagram
Rumer fully prepared herself for her first getaway with her baby, as seen on her Instagram Story, where she posed with her little one without revealing their destination.
She took a mirror selfie showing her with Lou in a black and white patterned baby carrier, hugging her chest. "The House Bunny" actress stood beside their luggage, including a large orange one and a brown diaper bag placed on top.
As for her outfit, she was decked in nude-colored loose pants with orange hems, a brown Jenni Kayne long-sleeve cardigan reaching her hips, and orange slides matching her phone case.
Rumer also carried a black and white patterned purse corresponding with her baby carrier while she packed her bleached blonde curls in a low bun away from her face. "1st Mama and Daughter Solo Trip," she declared on the post, ensuring to tag the brands behind her outfit and baggage.
The mother-daughter duo's solo trip comes less than a month after Rumer gave fans an insight into the interesting story behind Louetta's unique name. Speaking in an interview, she admitted that she and her baby daddy never intended to name their child Louetta. However, the universe had a plan of its own.
The "Hostage" actress shared, "We were thinking about the name Loretta, and it was a typo. Her dad and I were texting, and he left the 'R' out of Loretta, and it was just Louetta."
She did not correct Thomas then but went with the flow, believing it was "one of those kind of divine intervention universe moments," which the couple ultimately worked out quite early in her pregnancy. Even so, Rumer fretted about their naming decision, fearing it would not fit their daughter's appearance. Recalling her troubles, she said:
"What was scary was, I love this name, but oh man, is it going to be her name? Is it the right name? What if she comes out and doesn't look like this?"
Eventually, the "Sorority Row" star realized no other name but "Lou" would have been fitting even if she had birthed a boy, as she clarified:
"I fell in love with the name so much, so early on, that I was then worried that it wouldn't work. But then she came out, and I mean, to me, at least right now, I was going to name her Lou, whether she was a boy or a girl."
Besides, the moniker provided the little one with options for future nicknames, according to Rumer, who mentioned that she and her partner loved its "versatility." "I wanted to find something that had a lot of versatility," she asserted. "If she doesn't feel like a Louetta, she can go by Lou; she can go by Etta."
The "Now and Then" actress added that the infant could "change it up" to whatever she wanted as she grew.
The 'Striptease' Star Bashed An Instagram Fan Hating On Her 35th Birthday Pic
The heartwarming mother-daughter trip comes after Rumer slammed her critics. Last month, Rumer marked her 35th birthday on Instagram using a topless photo of herself breastfeeding her daughter, causing both fans and critics to express varied opinions.
"This is 35," she captioned the post. "Ridiculously sunburnt and feeding my Lou." She then narrated her pregnancy journey, beginning with a recollection of finding out she was with a child on her last birthday.
Over 70k Instagram users showered the touching post with likes, while a few took to the comments section, including one critic who asked the then-celebrant "why" she made the post.
The "Chicago" performer immediately slammed the user, proclaiming that while she was unbothered about their opinion, she "truly" pitied them for depicting how they valued themselves and other women with the question.
She also maintained that becoming a mother and breastfeeding was a privilege she did not take for granted but intended to celebrate "every sec of this journey."
