Kelly Osbourne Opens Up About 'Scary' Motherhood Journey: 'I Love It'

Kelly Osbourne is sharing the trials she has faced as a new mom!

The sensational daughter of entertainment power couple Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is well known in the industry as a singer, actress, and fashion designer. She added mother to her status in 2022 thanks to her relationship with Sid Wilson.

The purple-haired beauty and the Slipknot DJ welcomed a baby boy named Sidney, a moment that changed the "So Undercover" actress's life for the better. Although she loves raising her little boy, the journey has had its fair share of unnerving moments.

During a recent heart-to-heart conversation with E News, the TV personality got candid about her life's transformation since her son's arrival. Looking back at how far she had come as a first-time mom, the 38-year-old confessed it was as much frightening as it was joyful.

"I'm a mom now; I love it. It's the best thing that has ever happened to me," the Westminster native revealed. "It's scary as f--k because you don't want to make a mistake."

Recalling a tense moment when she tried to trim Sidney's fingernails, the former "Fashion Police" star explained such daunting situations served as learning moments for parents. In the purple-haired beauty's words:

"It's all these little tiny things and these mistakes that you ultimately make because you can't learn unless you make a mistake. It's just unfortunate that you have to do it with a baby."

Fortunately, the new mom did not have to endure these challenges alone, as her famous parents were willing to lighten her load. Reflecting on the best advice she had received from Ozzy and Sharon, the 38-year-old revealed they said, "That it's not about you. Now, your life is about your child."

Despite encouraging their daughter to have her world revolve around Sidney, the "Papa Don't Preach" singer noted that her mother had stressed the significance of self-care amid parenthood. According to Kelly, the "America's Got Talent" ex-judge implored her to take time away from the baby.

"My mum is trying to get me to not be so attached to the baby right now because I don't do anything unless it has something to do with my baby," the 38-year-old explained. "And she's like, 'You have to take some time out for you.'"

However, listening to and fulfilling her mother's advice were two different stories as the Glamour Award winner confessed she could not bear to be away from her adorable baby boy. "But I try and do it, and the next thing I know, I'm sneaking out the back door to go home to be with my baby," Kelly admitted.

One of the reasons the "Are We There Yet?" actress did not want to be far from Sidney was to watch the little boy achieve new milestones. "He is almost crawling, which is amazing," the proud mom gushed, "He is kind of like scooting backwards and turning in circles."

Apart from getting ready to move on all fours, Sidney had another achievement his mother could not get enough of. Spilling the beans, the entertainer said: "Now my favorite thing is that he is, like, mom-obsessed, just where, if he sees me, he is reaching for me, and I love it."

A month before revealing her motherhood challenges, the "Project Catwalk" host updated fans about Sidney's well-being.  In an Instagram Story post, the 38-year-old expressed concern for her child's poor health due to the flu.

The Westminster beauty shared a picture of herself posing with her signature purple tresses pulled behind her head. She rocked her bare face with gold earrings and a matching gold necklace with a gem pendant.

Kelly was dressed casually in a black tank top that flaunted her generous bosom with her son cradled next to her assets. Sidney spotted a teary expression with moisture around his eyes while sucking on a pacifier.

"We are almost one week into having the flu, and my little man is still not well," the mother of one lamented in the overlay text. The heartbreaking news about her son's illness came two months after the entertainer blessed fans with Sidney's face for the first time on social media.

In June, the Young Hollywood Award winner shared a cute picture of her son dressed in a bat costume. The little boy was bundled up in a furry outfit that enveloped his entire body, excluding his face. Poking out Sidney's sides were two large bat wings, and on his head were bat ears to complete the adorable costume.
