Emily Ratajkowski Upgraded Her Divorced Phase To 'Chic' In Latest Social Media Post

Ratajkowski proved that she supported women living on their own terms in a recently uploaded video to TikTok. Upgrading her description of divorce from "good" to "chic," via the caption, she wrote, "Personally I find it chic to be divorced by the age of 30." For the content itself, the 32-year-old began by saying:

"So, it seems that a lot of young ladies are getting divorced before they turn 30. As someone who got married at 26 [who] has been separated for a little over a year [at] 32, I have to tell you, I don't think there's anything better. Being in your 20s is the trenches."

According to the "Cruise" star, there was "nothing better" than a woman in her 30s, still radiating attractiveness, possibly having some financial independence, and discovering her life's direction, including experiencing and realizing marriage may not live up to its expectations.

"And then you've got your whole life still ahead of you," Ratajkowski added before she conclusively addressed people who were "feeling stressed" about "being divorced," telling them, "It's good. Congratulations."

As expected, the mother of one's comments got filled with similar sentiments, and she even took time replying to some, like this one that read, "I skipped the marriage part and just stayed single 🤣." In response, the former actress typed:

"good for you 🥰 wish i was that wise! i personally wouldn't have understood marriage and wouldve worried about what i was missing in my 30s."

"women learned from their mothers and grandmothers not to stay in miserable relationships for the rest of their lives," another TikTok user typed, prompting the "We Are Your Friends" screen star to agree:

"yes! way better to be divorced than unhappy/unsafe/miserable in a relationship wasting your precious time on this planet."

A third fan chipped in, "I needed this. married a controlling narcissist at 18 and never been on my own before. I'm almost 26 and so over it but it's all I've ever known."

A fourth person gushed, "Loving my 30s - self care, travel, boundaries," and a fifth disclosed, "Divorced at 29 and it's awesome being in my 30s and not being in the relationship." Ratajkowski further emphasized the gospel of being a proud divorced woman when she told ET:

"I think there's a lot of taboo around divorce and a lot of shame. I think that isn't helpful, particularly for young women who are trying to get out of bad relationships. I want to spread a little positivity, and I think that divorce, deciding to leave a relationship despite the financial hardship, despite what it's going to mean for your kids, everything, is really brave. I want women to feel better about it."

Emrata Dubbed Herself A 'Serial Monogamist' Following Her Divorce Filing

Even though it was unintentional, Ratajkowski's separation from Bear-McClard garnered significant public attention, driven mainly by his rumored infidelity. This event's aftermath caused a significant change in the life of the "Lying and Stealing" actress, who delved into her monogamous lifestyle during a conversation with the hosts of "Today" in November 2022.

Per The Blast, Hoda Kotb initiated the discussion by inquiring about her feelings regarding being single for the first time in her life. In response, the English-born American star enthusiastically expressed that while it was "crazy," it was "so nice." As for her being a "serial monogamist," the doting mother explained:

"I think it was a way for me to protect myself. I was entering a really crazy industry and working in a really crazy industry, where, now, I think we can accept there are a lot of predatory, scary men. I think it was a way for me to feel safe. And also, I just wanted to be loved, honestly, and have that validation. And that's not bad!"
