The 73-year-old singer alluded to the rescheduled Philadelphia shows that were set for last month but were pushed to September due to his ill health. Now it seems he needs more rest before the magic of his voice can enthrall the audience again.

Fans might be bummed but they are putting on a strong face, as one wrote, "Bruce, we hope you make a 100% recovery and get back on the road as soon as possible. There we will be waiting for you. Get some rest and take care. We love you."

These are not the only shows he canceled this year, as Springsteen previously also canceled two shows in August, one just hours before the show. At the time, he did not detail his health but cited an unspecified illness. The "Dancing in the Dark" singer has been on tour since February this year, kicking off in Tampa, Florida. Springsteen then took his tour to Europe before being back in the U.S. but ended up canceling several shows in March in New York, Ohio, and Connecticut, although at the time there were no reasons given. He even suffered a fall in Amsterdam but luckily, was unhurt.

Now, as per the social media post put up by his Instagram handle, the ticketholders of the shows in September will receive further information once the team can reschedule.

For now, all shows in September stand canceled. The "Born in the U.S.A." singer's November tour dates fall in Canada and his tour is scheduled to end with a series of dates in Arizona and California. The final concert is slated for Dec. 10 in San Francisco.

Now that Springsteen has revealed he's dealing with symptoms of peptic ulcer disease (PUD), fans worry about his health. The official statement also read, "Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and the decision of his medical advisors is that he should postpone the remainder of his September shows.'

It seems some of the keener-eyed fans who were able to attend his previous concerts had an inkling that something was wrong, as they wrote, "I knew something was wrong -saw him grimace a couple of times on Sunday night and fight through it. Feel better Bruce we love you!!!"

Peptic ulcers develop inside the stomach or small intestines, as per the Mayo Clinic, and the most common symptom is stomach pain.

While fans who bought the tickers and were looking forward to his shows were understandably disappointed, they rallied for him, writing, "Health first. Take your time boss."

While Springsteen is an absolute live wire on the stage, his health is concerning his fans who want him to get better and then come back with even more electric energy. Many expressed their dismay at his poor health, urging him to take time off and get better.
