Former MTV VJ Jesse Camp, who has been reported missing by his sister, was arrested last year for stealing a vacuum from Home Depot.

Law enforcement says that Camp was arrested in January of 2017 for petty theft outside of a Home Depot in Perris, California.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Camp went into the Home Depot with a "Rigid blower" box and swapped it with one already on the shelf. He then "walked to the front of the store and returned the item and purchased a [Rigid] wet/dry vacuum with the money he received from the return."

A Home Depot employee checked the box that Camp had placed on the shelf and found it was filled with water bottles "to imitate the weight of the Rigid blower box."

The employee detained Camp and called the police.

We're told Camp "was issued a citation for the theft and later arraigned on 5/17/17." He pled guilty at his arraignment and was ordered to pay $150 in restitution and other fines, as well as complete 60 hours of community service in Connecticut.

As The Blast first reported, Jesse Camp's sister filed a missing person report last week with Riverside Police after losing contact with the former VJ. Camp was last seen by police in Fontana, California — a few towns over from Perris and Riverside — the same day the missing person report was filed.

An officer stopped Camp outside of a Sherwin Williams for a "pedestrian check" and determined he was fine.

Camp's family still has not been in contact with him.
