About a month ago, a resort in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota suffered the loss of one of its residents, a 14-year-old boy who drowned while paddle boarding.
Bring Me The News reported that the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office was called to the Pine Terrace Resort on Star Lake at 8:14 p.m. This occurred after witnesses saw the boy fall into the water and fail to break the surface while paddle boarding.
Eventually, the victim was removed from the water by people at the scene, who also tried lifesaving techniques on him. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
The police department mentioned that the teenager and his family were from outside the state and his name was withheld briefly.
