Britney Spears Reportedly Believes Sam Asghari ‘Leaked’ Cheating Allegations

It seems that Britney Spears believes that Sam Asghari is the one behind rumors that she was unfaithful to him.

Although it has been reported by several sources that the 29-year-old actor filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star due to accusations of cheating, this has not been confirmed. One source called the rumors “garbage” and said that the “Toxic” singer actually believes that the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor is behind the rumors that she cheated in order to give him a reason to end the relationship.

There have been several rumors that the Princess of Pop cheated on the actor, although most fans don’t seem to be buying it. Different sources have been reporting different things, but on Saturday, September 2, a source told InTouch Weekly that “It broke his heart” when Sam reportedly caught Britney allegedly cheating on him on security camera footage.

The outlet actually spoke to two different sources, the second of which seemed to indicate that Sam was not squeaky clean either. “There’s a whole lot of dirty laundry she could air,” said the second source. “But she won’t.” They went on to say that the “Gimme More” singer believes that Sam “leaked” the “garbage” accusations that she cheated on him.

“Britney says the accusations are garbage,” the insider claimed. “And it wouldn’t surprise her if Sam came up with the rumor himself, then leaked it through one of his media buddies so he’d have grounds to negotiate a larger settlement or get more out of the prenup.”

“If Sam wants to go around spreading these rumors — or at least not going out of his way to dispel them — that’s his prerogative,” they continued. “As far as Britney’s concerned, it’s wrong and cruel. She’s mad but she’s trying not to react emotionally and is letting her lawyers figure it all out.”

There have also been accusations of violence between the pair. Sources told TMZ that the pop star once gave the actor a black eye while he was sleeping. The insider alleged that Sam “frequently complained” about Britney “getting physical” and that security often had to step in to prevent fights from getting out of hand.

However, there have also been allegations that Britney has gotten physical with Sam. In a new Hulu special, titled "Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair," TMZ founder Harvey Levin alleged that the former couple had a huge fight in London that resulted in Britney needing stitches, as per Page Six.

"She and Sam were going at it in a hotel room, and it got so bad [that] she tripped and hit the coffee table, cracking her head open,” Levin alleged, adding, “She needed stitches.”

When speaking to InTouch Weekly, the first source claimed that “Britney did hit Sam, but he’s not trying to create some messy scandal. He’s a good guy and just wants what’s fair.”

However, the second source doesn’t seem to think that Sam is a “good guy” at all and goes on to call him “controlling and critical.” They alleged “That’s one of the main reasons things didn’t work out” but indicated that Britney has friends, most notably her dancers, that she has been spending time with.

“She can kick back with them and dance and shoot sexy videos,” the source alleged, adding, “They are the ones who understand her the best.” They also noted that her brother Bryan has been seen spending time around the house, but noted that she is wary of getting too close to her family again after what happened during her conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.

“She’s adamant that no one will have control over her life ever again,” the source said.

Shortly after the actor filed for divorce on August 16, a source told ET that Britney is “adamant” she didn’t cheat, adding, “Britney and Sam have split. She’s adamant she didn’t cheat. The two haven’t got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup.”

The source went on to tell ET, “She has been trying to get back on her feet and be healthy emotionally, physically, and mentally. Britney has people by her side and her immediate circle is there for her,” adding, “They are rallying around her.”

“Britney and Sam have had ups and downs throughout their relationship. They have a lot of love for each other, but they also argue a lot over fundamental issues,” they continued. “Sometimes they feel as though each other’s needs aren’t being completely met. Recently, things took a bad turn and their arguments became more serious and real.”
