Khloe Kardashian's Son's Legal Name Is Now Officially Tatum Thompson

A Los Angeles judge has officially approved the name change for the son of Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thomspon.
When the child was first born, he had the last name “Kardashian.” However, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” reality star had filed to change his name to Tatum Thompson, and as of Thursday, it was approved.

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, Judge Virginia Keeny approved changing Khloe’s son’s name from Tatum Kardashian to Tatum Thompson, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
There were no objections to the name change, which was filed in the Superior Court of California in the County of Los Angeles.
The mom-of-two made headlines earlier this week when she revealed that she was “not ok” after her daughter, True, started kindergarten. “Kindergarten. For anyone wondering, no I’m not ok! Next, it will be prom,” she wrote in the caption alongside a photo of her daughter.
Although some fans felt that it was a bit “over the top” and that there were too many balloons in the photo, other fans felt that it was just Khloe showing what a great mom she is. As one fan commented, “Say what you want about Khloe but she sure does shower her kids with love.”
Khloe Says That She Has Forgiven Tristan Thomspon For Cheating
“The Kardashians” star shares two children, True and Tatum, with the NBA star. The two have had an on-and-off rollercoaster relationship throughout the years due to Tristan’s infidelity. However, it looks like Khloe is trying to move past the cheating scandals in order to successfully co-parent her two children with the star athlete.
During a confessional for a July 2023 episode of “The Kardashians,” Khloe decided that she was going to let go off all of the ill will she held toward Tristan for cheating on her, as previously reported by The Blast.
“Yeah, I forgive Tristian,” she said at the time. “It doesn’t mean I forget what he’s done, but I forgive Tristan for me.” The Good American founder went on to say, “Because I’ve got to let that sh*t go. I need to for myself. I can’t move on with my life if I’m holding onto this bullsh*t.”
While she was out at a Mexican restaurant with Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick, the trio discussed the possibility of Tristan buying a home in their neighborhood. Scott asked her if she was interested in getting back together with Tristan and told her that he would stand by her and support her if that was her choice.
“I don’t have any issues,” Khloe said, quickly shutting down the idea of her and Tristan getting back together. “I just don’t have the energy for issues.” Although she has shut down the idea of them getting back together, she still has a “great friendship relationship” with the father of her two children.
In a conversation with mom Kris Jenner that aired on the family’s Hulu show “The Kardashians,” Khloe admitted that she would get along with him for the sake of their kids. She told her mom that she and Tristan “get along fine,” adding, “For my kids, I will put anything to the side.”

“What’s done is done, so what would I still be holding on to something for? I don’t need to ‘punish’ him because I’m not getting back with him,” she said. Although she admitted that “there’s still boundaries” between the two, she would “rather him be here than the nanny” when it comes to taking care of their two children.
“I’m definitely putting my foot down around a lot of things. No one’s just here chilling if there’s no kids involved,” she added.
Although it seems as though the pair still has a long way to go to make amends, she did write him a sweet tribute on Instagram to celebrate his birthday in March. “Happy birthday @realtristan13. You are truly the best father, brother & uncle. Your love, attention, silly dances, hugs, carpool rides, bedtime rituals, the way u show up for them," she wrote at the time.
"All of the above means more than you’ll ever know to your family of littles. My birthday wish for u is that u continue to crave change, healing, and transformation," she continued. "Be strong, be kind, be patient, be free. Continue to Make your soul and your mommy proud. Happy birthday baby daddy."
