Memories Flood In To Mark 26th Anniversary Of Princess Diana's Passing

The people’s princess passed away 26 years ago today in a tragic car accident. Peaople flooded social media with loving memories.

The late princess was celebrated for so many things, but first and foremost she was a mother and fans reminded many that she often referred to her oldest son William as her “confident” and “love of my life”

And while many believe that she would be embarrassed by or upset with the path that her youngest son Harry has taken, that is likely far from the truth.

“Princess Diana would be so proud of her baby boy for achieving the freedom she set out to achieve but was unable to accomplish. RIP, Queen of Hearts. You heir is fulfilling the dreams you had for him.”

Other fans reminded us how strong William was when his mum passed even though he has said in interviews he wanted to “go to my room and cry.”

“Remembering Princess Diana today. And sending all the love in the world to Prince William who showed a remarkable resilience over time after losing his mum. Diana would be very proud of the man William has become and how he continue to honor her legacy with so much dignity.”

To this day some people can’t believe that the princess was essentially murdered by a gang of greedy photographers trying to get their shot to sell. Even as she lay dying, they disrespected her final moments by snapping pictures.

“Twenty six years ago today the world was stunned with news that Princess Diana had died in a car crash in Paris. The one and only and forever queen of people's hearts,” notes one follower of the trending topic.

Former boxer Frank Bruno shared a photo of one of the few times he met her, he wrote, “So 26 years ago we lost a Princess. Diana was special we met a number of times. I have met a lot of people but she had a personality like no other cheeky but funny. Sadly missed,” he writes.

Charles Spencer has vowed to keep his sister’s memory alive, even today, a sad day that no one wants to talk about when they are that close to the person, shared a picture of himself with his big sis.

He didn’t write anything, but others shared some of the pictures and spoke kind words regarding his missed sister.

“Such a lovely picture Your sister was a blessing,” wrote one follower. They continued “And she is an inspiration to me and so many of us. “I think the biggest disease the world suffers from in this day and age is the disease of people feeling unloved.”

The late princess was also known for making leaps and bounds with her charity work. She never shied away from those who needed the love and care the most.

“On this day we lost an Angel Princess Diana had the ability to reach just about anyone from all walks of life the way she made people change their minds and perceptions about people with AIDS is incredible The People's Princess will be forever in our hearts #PrincessDiana.”

Some followers just chose to remember her for the shining light she was and kind of continues to be in her passing, “Twenty six years without princess diana. she will forever be missed,” as simple as that.
