The late Hugh Hefner was famous not just for being the lord of the Playboy Mansion but also for the sexual orgies that often took place at the location.
Even as he advanced in age, he did not slow down on his sexcapades and often used Viagra to keep up.
In a new interview, his third wife, Crystal Hefner, whom he married when he was 86 and she was 26, has revealed that the overuse of Viagra ultimately led to hearing issues for him.

Hugh Hefner Used A Lot Of Viagra
According to the Daily Mail, Hefner overindulged in the sex drug known as Viagra to help him keep up with his sexual desires even as he advanced in age.
The Playboy founder, true to his name, was indeed a playboy, having been known to frolic around in the iconic mansion with other women and his wife, Crystal.
According to Crystal, their activities included group sex, before which Hefner would use Viagra to put up a good performance.
"It was embarrassing. I don't know the most people there'd been in our bedroom at one time, but — a lot. Pretty bad," Crystal told the publication in the interview.
However, Hefner's indulgence in Viagra wasn't without consequence. The late socialite, who died at age 91 in 2017, suffered hearing loss in one ear, a known con for those who used the blue pill repeatedly.
He Had No Issues With Losing His Hearing Due To His Viagra Use
While a different person might be concerned about having hearing loss due to indulging in Viagra, Hefner was good with it.
Being able to keep up with his sexcapades was his number one priority, regardless of the consequences.
"Hef always said he'd rather be deaf and still able to have sex. Weird," Crystal told the Daily Mail.
This view was previously shared by Hefner's past partners, such as Playboy playmates and porn stars Karissa and Kristina Shannon.
"He said he would rather have sex than have his hearing. He has hearing aids now and even then he can only hear out of one ear," Karrisa told The Sun in 2011.
At the time, she added that even with the hearing aids, speaking to Hefner required one to be in close proximity.
She continued, "You have to lean down and talk into his good ear for him to understand you. We could sit right next to him and he wouldn't have a clue what we said."

It is expected that more intimate details about Hefner will be seen in Crystal's upcoming memoir, which she titled "Only Say Good Things."
While the name might suggest that it would only contain positive details about the hedonist, Crystal plans on spilling all the beans, including the non-virtuous part about Hefner.
These might include details about his self-centered behavior, like telling her exactly what color of nail polish to wear and never allowing her to travel through the five years she spent as his wife.
In addition to everything else, he also insisted that she needed to be back home by 6 p.m. every day, no matter where she was or what she was doing. He wanted them to have dinner together, watch his favorite movies, and participate in the frequent sexual orgies he organized at his mansion.
Crystal Hefner Doesn't Regret Her Time In The Mansion
Reflecting on the past, Crystal, who got to know Hefner while she was an impressionable 21-year-old, doesn't regret her time in the mansion.
Prior to meeting him, she had been going through a lot, having come from a "broken" family, and he took her in and gave her a place to stay even though the circumstances weren't exactly favorable.
She said, "When your family is broken, you feel like you don't really belong anywhere. You depend on the kindness of others and you make yourself small to try to fit in. You have no power."
She added, "Then I met Hef. He lived how the other half lives. You feel, 'Wow, I could belong here too.' At first, the Playboy Mansion felt like a sanctuary. It wasn't. But then you either abide by it or you leave, and I didn't feel like I had anywhere else to go or that I could make anything of myself."
