Brad Pitt Claims He's Given Angelina Jolie Over $9 Million Since Their Split

Brad Pitt is firing back at Angelina Jolie's claims he's not living up to his end of the financial bargain and filed new documents claiming he has given her over $9 million since they broke up.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Pitt says there is no reason to schedule a hearing about the issue of child support. In the filing, Pitt "adamantly disputes the contention that he has not paid significant child support."

Pitt claims that he loaned Jolie $8 million to "assist in her purchasing her current residence" and has paid over $1.3 million in "bills for the benefit of [Jolie] and the kids."

As part of her filing on Tuesday, Jolie sought to schedule a hearing for sometime in 2018 to declare Pitt and Jolie legally single, even as they continue to work out the details of their split.

In his response, Brad Pitt says he does not object to that plan.

As The Blast previously reported, Jolie filed documents on Tuesday claiming Pitt has failed to pay “meaningful” child support since the couple separated. In the filing, a lawyer for Jolie alleged that Pitt “has a duty to pay child support. As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation.”

The two-page brief, filed by attorney Samantha Bley DeJean, went on to say that the informal arrangement for support between Jolie and Pitt has resulted in “the children’s expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half.”

Jolie intends to file a request for “the establishment of a retroactive child support order.”
