Nev Schulman is speaking out about his "Catfish" co-host Max Joseph's departure, giving credit to his "best friend" for getting him through the tough times.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Nev says, "Max isn't just a co-host, he's a partner, therapist and brother." Adding, "Nobody cuts through the noise and dishes the hard truth better than he does."
Praising his co-host for "being there and helping me through every step of the way."
It's been a tough couple of months for Nev, after MTV announced they were putting a halt to filming following sexual misconduct allegations against the star. The Blast spoke with Nev exclusively at the time and he denied any misconduct took place.
Just two months ago, the company announced production was set to resume after a third party investigation found the allegations were “not credible and without merit.”
His "Catfish" co-host, who's been with him for 7 years, calls Nev his "brother" and says the time on the show "one of the most meaningful experiences of my life."
In a twist, he says he's leaving the show to focus on his true calling, which he says is filmmaking.
"Although I have a heavy heart, I am also excited for everything that’s to come for myself, for Nev, for our crew and for the show," Max posts. "Thank you for watching, thank you for the love and for the memes.”
