Zayn Malik Is 'Not In The Dating Game' Amid Interests From Women, Says Mother

It has been some time since the British heartthrob was romantically linked to someone following his split from the supermodel Gigi Hadid. The former power couple's longtime romance birthed their adorable angel, Khai, the alleged reason for the entertainer's singleness.

Although the former One Direction member does not suffer a shortage of admirers, his mother claims no one had a winning chance. Trisha Malik recently addressed her son's unwillingness to mingle in a candid interview, claiming the 30-year-old was focused on being a good parent.

Despite being one of the most desired males in the world, the "Pillowtalk" hitmaker has zero plans on welcoming interested parties anytime soon. The sensational singer's mother spilled the tea about his nonexistent dating life.

According to Trisha, the Bradford native chose to ignore the pleasures attached to having a significant other for the bliss of being a father. "Zayn's energies are focused on being a good dad to Khai and his work, and that's not going to change any time soon," the entertainer's mother declared.

Shedding light on the media personality's life, the 53-year-old said to Daily Mail, "He's  [Zayn] a wonderful father, very caring and loving, and devotes a lot of time to his daughter. It's what gives him the most pleasure in life."

The AMA winner is reportedly content juggling his responsibilities as a pop star and a father, as Trisha claimed his dedication to these aspects of his life outweighed surrounding temptations. In the former halal school chef's words:

"He's a good-looking lad, and a lot of women are interested in him, but none of that interests him at the moment. He's not even in the dating game. It's all about Khai and then his work."

Given Malik's massive love for his 2-year-old daughter, one might wonder how the "Like I Would" artist' manages to enjoy a close relationship with the little girl. Fans might recall the 30-year-old and Hadid separated after the supermodel's mother accused the singer of physical violence.

Despite the former couple's perceived bad ending, Trisha claims the dynamic duo had an amicable relationship. "Gigi and Zayn are co-parenting, and it's working very well. They are both wonderful people and parents," the 53-year-old announced.

Thanks to the pair's friendly bond, the doting matriarch revealed she could frequently communicate with her granddaughter. "I Facetime Khai at least two or three times per week, and it's wonderful to have a relationship with her," Trisha raved.

"Even though she is so far away, because of all the calls, she recognizes me instantly," the entertainer's mother declared, noting her excitement to attend Khai's third birthday in September.

"I'm really looking forward to going to Los Angeles to celebrate her birthday, and it will be lovely to spend some time with my son and granddaughter," the 53-year-old confessed. "I miss them both, but Zayn has his own life now in the US and is enjoying himself as a dad and single man."

Before Malik's mother announced his disinterest in dating, the "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" hitmaker was speculated to be in a relationship with Selena Gomez. However, these rumors ended after the Disney alum unfollowed the entertainer on Instagram.

Malik and the Rare Beauty founder made waves as a potential couple after they were seen holding hands and kissing in March. According to a source, the pair visited SoHo in New York City, where they enjoyed a date at a restaurant.

However, the rumored lovers were never photographed together, nor did they comment on the debates about their connection. Instead, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star set the record straight by unfollowing the 30-year-old on Instagram.

Additionally, Gomez unfollowed other celebrities, including Gigi, her older sister Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and Zendaya. On the other hand, it appeared the "Dusk Till Dawn" artist did not mind losing the multi-hyphenate as a follower.

Many had expected the father of one to retaliate by unfollowing the two-time Grammy nominee. However, Malik did not immediately. Presently he seems to be over his friendly stance as his followers list no longer houses the "Same Old Love" songstress's account.
