Singer Britney Spears is working on keeping her mind busy amid her split from Sam Asghari.

The two met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016 and tied the knot in June 2022. Unfortunately, the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor filed for divorce on August 16, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

On Saturday, sources confirmed that the 41-year-old pop star is working on new music amid the divorce as she continues to focus on her own self-care. That apparently involves a new staff member who is trained in the medical field as well.

There have been several reports that the 29-year-old actor became concerned with the pop star not following the same medical care that she was on during her conservatorship, which ended in November 2021. However, sources say that the "Toxic" singer is still being cared for and has even hired a new medical professional with experience working in the medical field in order to help take care of Britney.

On Saturday, August 26, TMZ reported that her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, and manager, Cade Hudson, hired two new staff members for her Thousand Oaks estate. It is unclear what one staff member was hired to do, but the other is reportedly a medical professional who was hired to make sure that Britney stays on top of her medication.

Mathew and Cade, who are now primarily responsible for Britney's care, are reportedly keeping her "occupied" amid the split. In addition to making sure she gets out of the house, they are also helping her focus on new career opportunities, which means new music.

Last Thursday, one insider told Page Six that a 37-year-old man identified as Paul Richard Soliz was hired without a background check last year to “clean toilets, mop floors and pick up trash” and do other housekeeper tasks. However, the man has been charged with a felony and multiple misdemeanors.

In April 2014, the man was convicted of one count of disturbing the peace and arranged a plea deal to drop a charge of child endangerment, as per court documents obtained by the outlet. Two years later, he was convicted of driving without a license but managed to drop a separate charge of driving with a suspended license in another plea deal. More troubling, the man was convicted of felony possession of a firearm in December 2022.

Although the man was later fired, one insider told the outlet that they were "concerned" for the pop star and said that she had been photographed out and about with an unidentified man who might have been the former employee. About an hour after the report was published, Britney took to Instagram to share a photo of her wearing an all-black outfit.

“F*ck with me … I dare you 🖕🏻 !!!” she wrote in the caption, although it is unclear if this was in response to that report, a different report, or something else.

Sam Asghari Was Reportedly Worried About Britney's Medication

On Friday, a source told Radar Online that Sam and Britney had frequent arguments about her medication use. Sam had reportedly wanted the pop star to “seek more therapy” and “find a psychotherapist” to help “unpack her issues” but it seems that she did not want to do so at the time. He also wanted her to take a  “regimented anti-anxiety and depression medication plan” similar to the one that she had been on during her conservatorship.

The night before, a source told The Sun that the "Stronger" singer "is not a well person without the correct medication,” adding, “No matter what she told her conservatorship judge or assures fans, she needs stability through a very regimented program of meds.”

"After she was released from the conservatorship, she attempted to move away from being reliant on medication,” the source continued. “However, in the last year that has caused many issues with her behavior becoming erratic, violent, and even dangerous.”

"Sam urged her to seek more therapy and even find a psychotherapist, not from her past, who could help unpack her issues and stabilize her thoughts," the insider continued. "He also has really pushed for her to return to a medication regime to overcome her anxiety and mood swings."

“Britney’s experience under the conservatorship has made her fearful and nervous about medication. When Sam pushed her on this it would lead to arguments," they said. "Britney would accuse him of being like [her] father and wanting control. Sam was pushed to the edge even though his intentions were good.”

Although it seems that she might not have been getting the medical care that Sam wanted for her before, it does seem like hiring a medical professional is a step in the right direction to make sure that Britney is staying healthy... especially if she plans to release new music.
