Britney Spears Reportedly 'Needed Stitches' After 'Explosive' Fight With Sam Asghari

Singer Britney Spears reportedly needed stitches after an "explosive" argument with actor Sam Asghari.

On August 16, 2023, the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor filed for divorce in court documents obtained by The Blast. Rumors of marital trouble have plagued the couple ever since their June 9, 2022, wedding. In the divorce filing, the actor listed July 28, 2023, as the date of separation, just a little over a year later.

There have been allegations that the 41-year-old pop star got physical with the 29-year-old actor, even going as so far as to allegedly assault him while he was sleeping, but a new report says that the physical altercations between the pair might have been mutual.

A new TV special called "Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair" aired on Fox on Thursday night. In the new TV special, TMZ founder Harvey Levin alleged that Britney and Sam had an "explosive" fight in London that ended with her needing stitches, as per Page Six.

"She and Sam were going at it in a hotel room, and it got so bad [that] she tripped and hit the coffee table, cracking her head open,” Levin alleged in the new TV special, adding, “She needed stitches.”

However, executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere claimed in the “TMZ Investigates” episode that it was really the pop star's alleged “volatility” that ended the marriage when it became too much for the actor "to take."

Despite the previous report that Britney allegedly attacked Sam in his sleep and left him with bite marks and bruises, others aren't buying it. One source told Page Six, "He’s 6 foot 2 and she’s 5 foot 4, so how could she attack him?”

Only one day after Sam filed for divorce, one insider told TMZ that the actor “frequently complained” about Britney “getting physical” with him on more than one occasion. The source went on to say that there were a few times where the fights escalated to the point where security actually had to get involved.

The insider claimed that Britney "flew odd the handle and began punching" Sam while he was asleep in bed on at least one occasion. They emphasized that Sam made no attempt to retaliate against this alleged attack and did not try to hit her back.

In January 2023, the actor was photographed with what appears to be bite marks and bruises. However, he reportedly "tried to play it off" and asked paparazzi not to photograph him. However, there is nothing to confirm that Britney is the one who gave him these alleged bite marks or bruises.

The insider went on to suggest that Sam had even more fearful of the pop star than just being attacked in his sleep. They claimed that the "Toxic" singer also has a “fascination with knives” that she keeps around the house and even in the bedroom of her Thousand Oaks estate.

One source told the outlet that Britney keeps the knives around her for protection, as she “was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection.”

Last weekend, a source told The Sun that Britney's "behavior has become concerning and everyone is worried about her.”

The source claimed that the "Overprotected" singer "has been acting increasingly erratic and is in a vulnerable state. Sam was bearing the brunt and it proved too much." They also alleged that her behavior has “plunged to a new low” and “is sad to see.”

“She’s very volatile, always ranting and shouting at the staff over minor things and making ridiculous demands,” another source claimed, adding, “There’s smashed glass all over the house because Britney will just throw things.” They also claimed that the pop star had a "weird" obsession with knives.

"She has a weird obsession with knives. She has been throwing them at the walls and hiding them down the sofa,” the insider alleged. “It is as though she is paranoid someone is after her and she needs the knives as protection.”

It seems that Britney might actually be aware of the reports about her "obsession" with knives, as she later posted a video of her chopping vegetables with a kitchen knife on Instagram.
