Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher, is hoping to go out in style!

The 35-year-old is a groundbreaking talent with five studio albums to her name and two adorable kids. In a recent interview with WIRED, Grimes— who shares her kids with Elon Musk — had a lot to communicate, including how and when she wanted to exit this world.

Grimes Says She "Hopes To Die In Space"

During the discussion, Grimes was asked if she had any plans to travel outside Earth, and in response, the Canadian musician said, "Definitely. I hope to die in space. I would like to go far enough out there to where my body could not handle coming back. So it would be closer to the end of my life. Maybe 65."

In fact, she added that Mars, specifically, would be a "great" place to finish out her life — as long as "there's a megastructure by then." Buttressing her point, the 35-year-old said, "I'd go out there and live as long as I can until I die."

However, the "Oblivion" artist noted the one thing that could make her change plans when she said, "If there's a real responsibility, like, if my kids are having grandkids and really need me, I might change my mind, the outlet. But the preferred thing would be seeing some new worlds."

Another thing that could serve as a deterrent for the mother-of-two is her kids and giving them time to grow. In her words, "I would like to move to Mars. But I have to wait till my kids are good. Like 25. I think if I died on Earth in my last moments, I would regret it. If I died in space, I would be like, 'You've lived a great life; you did all the things you wanted to do.'"

Grimes Worries About Her Kids's Lifestyle

Since Musk, her one-and-off-again boyfriend's company, SpaceX, is currently working on a $3 billion reusable heavy-lift launch projectile to transport humans and cargo to the moon and Mars, she may find it easy to get to space.

However, welcoming two kids with a man who provides such privileges—and more— is a concerning subject for the Canadian singer. Having built a long-lasting bond that transcends her on-and-off romance with the renowned businessman, Grimes' children are therefore exposed to a life of luxury thanks to their father's wealth.

In retrospect, the "Flesh Without Blood" singer wants her babies to have a different upbringing. While chatting with WIRED, the entertainer opened up about her motherly life and what the future holds for her children. The 4-time Juno Award recipient confessed:

"Motherhood made me a lot more optimistic. I was not super focused before. It was just, what sounds cool, what feels cool. Now I feel a social responsibility with my art—to make future-optimistic art."

After that, the media personality explained, "Not a lot of people are doing that. People have a very dire vision of the future because it's easy and fun to write about cyberpunk dystopia."

Then, she credited her children for influencing the positive changes in her career. Grimes said, "Seeing my kids makes me pathologically optimistic. It's a life mission." Further into the conversation, the doting mother expressed concerns about her little angels growing up privileged and the impact of Musk's wealth on their children.

When asked about this matter, the Webby Award winner said, "A little bit. I think their life is gonna be pretty intense. Being Elon's kid is not the same as being anyone's kid." Grimes then shared plans to keep her children grounded with her down-to-earth parenting, stating, "In my house, at least, I want it to be more of a crazy warehouse situation and a cool art space."
