Kevin Hart is embracing the limits of his body the hard way! The sensational comedian dared to test his skills against a former NFL superstar only to have his pride crushed.

The entertainer is one of the world's most beloved stars known for his self-deprecation humor. When he is not making people laugh with his stand-up shows, the Philadelphia native wins accolades for his iconic Hollywood roles.

Unfortunately, the father of four will not participate in any major projects for some time as he suffers from the repercussions of his latest stunt. The 44-year-old ended up in a wheelchair after an ill-fated race against Stevan Ridley.

Dressed casually in a white Gucci hoodie designed with the brand's signature colors and a matching white beanie, the "Hart to Heart" host filmed himself outdoors while recounting the tale that landed him in a wheelchair.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40 is real. To all my men, women out there that are 40 years old and above, it's not a game. Respect that age," Hart declared. "Respect that age or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it."

The 44-year-old explained he was making the video as a "public service announcement" because he did not want people to be concerned about his well-being when they saw him in a wheelchair. The stand-up personality paused to show the walking aid before continuing his sad tale.

"I'm in a wheelchair. Why? Well, because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff. I tried to go out there and do some young man stuff, and I was told to sit my ass down," the Philadelphia native recalled, revealing Ridley as his companion on the unfortunate day.

The duo had debated who was faster, a title the comedian believed he deserved. However, the Laugh Out Loud Productions founder's confidence was the seed of his undoing when he challenged the former NFL star to a 40-yard dash.

As stated, the race's outcome was far from the NAACP Image Award winner's expectations. Sharing the results, Hart confessed: "Guys, I blew all my sh*t. I tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn, I don't even know what that is, but I tore em', I tore those, too. I can't walk."

The Hollywood icon then lamented, "Sit my ass down. This is 44,"  before berating himself for challenging Ridley, "Tell you what you just lost, son. You just lost every opportunity of me going to racing you anytime soon. It's over."

The self-criticisms continued with the BET Award recipient reflecting on his wild actions, wondering, "What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing? Why did I even race?" Stupidest s**t ever, now I can't walk 'cause I'm somewhere trying to get the title of the fastest n*gga at the barbecue," Hart wailed.

"What was I thinking, son? God! Got to be the stupidest man alive."

The Comedian Gets Teased By Friends Over His Injuries

Following the "Real Husbands of Hollywood" executive producer's update, some of the stand-up personality's famous pals sympathized with the father of four. "Getting older is REAL!! Heal Up, Kev!!" Will Smith commented.

On the other hand, Dwayne Johnson could not help but tease his "Jumanji" co-star. "I tore my adductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You'll be fine. You'll grow a 3rd ball, but you'll be fine," the former WWE superstar joked, adding, "Heal up."

Hart's narration of the event was not satisfying for Phil Heath, as the bodybuilder playfully implored the 44-year-old for evidence. "Not that we need the video, but we need that video, Kev, just as a reminder for us over 40 cats," the media personality claimed.

The race against Ridley is not the comedian's first encounter with painful injuries, as he once suffered severe back damage following a near-fatal accident.

The Philadelphia native underwent surgery in September 2019 after his car rolled into an embankment in Malibu Hills. The "Soul Plane" star had been in the passenger seat when the accident occurred.

Nonetheless, surviving the incident left him with immense gratitude for life. According to the father of four, his "biggest cry in life" happened when he got home from the hospital.
