Nicki Minaj Postpones U.S. Tour Amid Report of Terrible Ticket Sales

Nicki Minaj is pushing back the U.S. leg of her upcoming tour after a report claiming it was "the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist."
Minaj was supposed to kick off the tour in Baltimore on September 21 with Future as co-headliner. But Live Nation now says, "Due to scheduling conflicts Future will not be on the North American run."
Her European tour will go on as planned.
She explained the situation to her fans in a video on Twitter, saying, "Future and I will now start the European leg of our tour first, so those dates will stay exactly the same and the U.S. leg of the tour will now start in May."
Nicki Minaj continued, "Because of that, with Future's schedule, I may have to take another co-headliner or I may just do it like I did the Pinkprint tour and it wouldn't be, like, a co-headline. I probably will just have three or four opening acts."

Before the postponement was announced, Page Six reported that the tour was in danger of being canceled.
A Live Nation source told the outlet, "Nicki’s tour could be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist. These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050."
